Getting closer to what?? Bug free? I don’t think so. All promised features enabled? I don’t think so.
Tap to click works now ok. After 5min use i don't have any problems now.
Hey we're happy they elected to push out the MacOS beta before the others, shows its needs more attention.

Tap To Click appears to be fixed, not had a single missed tap so far.

But I meant any final release with the hope of having bugs fixed.
Gamma issue looks like it is fixed with True Color off for M1 iMac. Launch Diablo 3 and it was not present anymore. Netflix within Safari 15.2 is not going nuts with gamma anymore playing Arcane or Cowboy Bebop. ?
As long as the promised features arrive before macOS 13, they arrived on schedule. When the OS was announced at WWDC, the features weren't all destined for 12.0. It is a roadmap for the entire year of the OS.
Playing HDR Youtube still requires switching dev - user agent, but Microsoft Edge setting is not breaking into gamma issue with mouse changing to black as that is fixed now for M1 Macs. Chroma - Windows also works as before.
Would love it if they could fix the trackpad "skip" problem where you are pressing and holding on the trackpad and suddenly it shifts as if lost track of your fingers. Very annoying when you need small movements on the trackpad. Sometimes it doesn't register as if you did anything and sometimes way too much. Did not do this on Big Sur.
It would be great if someone could check these two:

Tap to Click seems to be working just as nicely as I was used to on 2017 MBA and likely on MBP 2021 with 12.0. I did not have the 12.0 for long enough to remember clearly. But, for now, looks like fixed.
I also notice that when playing multiple HDR videos using user agent work around that it is not resetting back to default after playing more HDR videos when i select either Microsoft Edge or Chroma - Windows with my M1 iMac. It remains on the modified user argent setting.
I suppose I am not in disagreement with you, but, and I honestly do not remember, I don’t think that Apple called it a “roadmap for the year” when they introduced this at wwdc. So, they should be honest and should include a timeline on their “roadmap”, best estimates would be ok, even by quarter would be ok.
A “roadmap” without timeline is rumors and speculation only.
I've found Music in Monterey to give me two annoying problems:
I always seem to find it scrolled to the end of my library (song view, with column browser) even though the selected song is the one currently playing somewhere back up in the list.
If it loses contact with an Airplay device, it will play full blast on the Mac. After a few moments it will get around to popping up a dialog asking if I want to play on the Mac or stop.
I would be most pleased if either of these were fixed in 12.1.

system FW has changed from beta 3 to beta 4 was 7429.60.47, now 7429.61.2.

It was unreliable, hit or miss (especially on beta 3). Here half of the taps didn't work.
