bad for me. i have xcode but haven't paid the $100 fee for the subscription.

You don't need a dev account. I just downloaded xcode and plugged in the iPad and said use for development. When it asked for my developer credentials I just clicked cancel. Works great.

the gestures are there - after restore you need to activate "device for development" using xcode.

for the safari strings here is what they sent:

Safari:
"Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_6; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.19.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.3 Safari/533.19.4"

iPhone:
"Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5"

iPad:
"Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5"

i dont remember if Safari build was always with "6" infront, anyway i think it does not have metter ;)

Any word if multi touch gestures for the iPad can still be activated in this build? I know apple said it wouldn't be part of the public release, but I'm hoping they still let devs activate the feature for testing their own apps. Fingers crossed.

I just installed it and it appears that multitasking gestures ARE available!

Could somebody test if this home sharing will wake an iMac or Macbook from sleep?

I know the remote app does this.

Would be good to not need to have my macbook on 24/7.

dont know if this is new or not, but seems you can stream various options (see screenshot), so if you have airport and apple tv you got this options:

(i ment that you can stream audio only too - for example if you have good stereo connected to your TVset and you miss airport)

I would expect it would have to be awake, as your library disappears from the Apple TV if your iTunes goes for a nap...

Should confirm when I get round to installing,

holy crap what happened i installed it and now the wifi doesn't work on my ipad and i can't restore :mad: what do i do?

I really dont care that much about 4.3. Am I alone in that regard?

Don't know if you're alone in that regard, but I am definitely not with you. Big, big functionality coming in 4.3: App developers will be able to utilize AirPlay to stream their apps to Apple TV. Think of the possibilities:

--My MLB app can send its video to my big screen.

--NetFlix directly from the iPad to your TV

--50" Angry Birds!

Possibilities are endless. This is HUGE!

Yeah maybe.

If the mac is set to 'wake from sleep for network access' the remote app can wake it up wirelessly when needed. I do this all the time for airport, because my macbook is upstairs asleep a lot of the time.

I was hoping for similar functionality.

Fingers are crossed :)

Personal Hotspot works on my 3GS

Bug? Or intended?

Does it give you access to WiFi sharing too? I tested earlier versions on a 3GS (I haven't had chance to update to the GM yet), and whilst it showed personal hotspot as the name, it only allowed connection over the old methods of Bluetooth and USB.

Is this message normal, never seen it before
