For some reason my pictures aren't syncing back... did the OTA update, all the albums are in the app but no photos in them. I sync to iTunes 10.5 b4 (b60), can't take pictures off or on, the sync process goes through but doesn't actually do anything, and then there's a caution mark next to my phone. Anyone else having this problem?

Try rebooting your phone.

It says in the beta notes you have to resync your photos

Just to let some people know, if your phone is jailbroken then you can't do the OTA update.

"Unable to check for update"? "An error occurred while checking for software updates."

I'm at 52% and I'm also plugged in. I am not the dev, my friend is, but I know I'm registered. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have the exact same problem. I can't get past it. I'd rather not restore, as it takes way too long to reinstall everything. I've rebooted countless times, switched to 3G, Airplane Mode, force quit Settings...but nothing. I'm a registered Dev, and it worked just fine on the iPhone 4, but not the iPad 2. :\

How is it running on the iPad 2? Smoother than the last beta?

It's running pretty smoothly for me. With beta 3, Safari would constantly crash but now it hasn't crashed once yet. That was one of my biggest concerns which Apple seems to have addressed. Other than that, no problems to report as yet.

my iphone 4 on iOS 5 beta 3 can't find beta 4 OTA update. My iPad 2 dloaded it automatically.

This is new in iOS 5 Beta 4

I found this... it's interesting.

Past betas. In the app store. It would just say either
"Install" or the Price.

now after you installed the application, it'll actually say "Installed" which i find awesome! :p

and also after a few twitter notifications, it'll say " You have (x amount) new Twitter Notifications"

That's new!! I haven't seen that at all in previous betas.

:D

I've tried doing a restore to iOS 5 Beta 4 from Beta 3 using iTunes 10.5 Beta 3 on Windows and I'm happy to report that the process is successful. :)

Beta 4 has given me the most amount of trouble so far. UGH! Tried to sync all my photos again, it sorta worked. It put a bunch of albums from iPhoto on my phone which is NOT what I wanted. So, I unchecked the box and hit Sync again to remove what I just did. Nope, they stayed there. So I restored from backup. Well, after that process finished, it said I still had 5.9GB of photos, however there were only 600 photos and a couple videos, not exceeding 4 minutes total. So, I think it was stuck thinking that I still had those old photos on there, and it wouldn't fix no matter how many times I rebooted. So now, I'm doing a full wipe & restore again, and hopefully all will be back to normal.

Fixed it! Had to follow the instructions here to erase the iPhoto library iPod Cache:

http://leimobile.com/faq-how-to-fix-ios-5-photo-sync-issues/

Which is an older article so it seems this is a persisting bug. Luckily photos are once again working on my phone again.

Well I tried this and I still can't get the iPhoto library to sync to iPhone under iOS 5 beta 4.

I may try to figure this out tomorrow. Kinda annoying to say the least.

Has anyone come across an issues with Reminders App?

I have Reminder set to ON in the settings under iCloud and I get no Reminders switch in the Location Services, and therefore no Location Services in the Reminder app. This is on both my iPad 1, and iPhone 3GS

Safari still crashes for me. I've not bothered to go put my photos back on yet, but if anyone else has...do photos in events now appear in the correct order, or are they still random and all over the place?
