Did you do a clean install of the beta and then setup as a new phone without importing any backup? If not then this is what is causing your battery woes.

Getting as good battery life on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7 beta 1 (2 days on a full charge).

The above also applies to iPhone 4 & 4S.

Yep, I always do clean installs of new OS's.

My phone gets really hot and only lasts half the day - an issue I never had in iOS6.
I also disabled some of the battery draining "features" of iOS 7 and that didn't help either.

Quickly tested zooming while recording video. Unfortunately, beta2 still doesn't have true, intelligent zooming making use of the full width of the sensor. At the theoretical losless maximum of 1.45x zoom level, the resolution already drops quite a bit (unlike with the Nokia PureView 808); at the maximum 3x, it becomes much-much worse.

I really hope Apple does implement intelligent zooming like that in the Nokia PureView 808 to give zoom folks as good resolution as possible.

Will post some examples of these zoom levels.

The CEO gets final say -- but they'd be a bad CEO (or Steve Jobs) if they meddled in the jobs of those they'd hired.

Anyway: Damn, this update is taking a LONG time preparing!

Yup, it took me about 10 minutes in that "Preparing" phase... don't panic, it'll work!

The music app is A LOT less buggy.

  1. Artist Tab now shows ALL artists from iTunes Match where it was bugged before
  2. iTunes Match download icons now appear aligned and tweaked/finished.
  3. Scrolling is MUCH smoother.

The animation when sending a message is fixed and automatically scrolls down to the most recent message where it was bugged before.

Overall, there's a lot less lag.

3rd party apps display properly again. IE: Facebook would always launch and have the status bar jammed into the blue area on the top. After it loaded, the bar snapped up. Also, in the side menus, the search bars were mis-colored. Both things are fixed and work as normal.

This couldn't have come at a better time! The bugs and amount of broken things was getting long in the tooth... I hope this fixes a lot.

Feel free to let us know:) I downgraded back to iOS 6 because of these bugs

Did they fix the wifi issue?

It keeps dropping after awhile on beta1. Also, Apple startup logo kept displaying at times too.

Ahh super, I will give it a go again as that was one of my annoying bugs.
