Need a developer account.

Does anyone know if you don't need a developer account in the beta lie the first one?

Look at that cluttered top bar! Those dots for signal level is absolute murder of a good design (the previous design). It's change for change's sake.

And I'm confident this won't get changed. Sigh. :(

This "intelligent zooming" is mostly just due to 41 megapixels.

The iPhone 4S/5 could "intelligently" zoom to 1.45-1.50x without decreasing resolution (by making dynamic use of the sensor). Unfortunately, at least with the stock Camera app, this isn't the case.

Interestingly, AVCaptureDevice.formats lists zoom levels with "oversampling", hinting on that they, some time, may implement intelligent zoom a'la Nokia 808. Now it's, unfortunately, not the case.

BTW, here's the AVCaptureDevice.formats list for the iPhone5 (this property has been introduced in iOS7; it was private before):

Hmm. Installed b2 clean on my iPhone5. Added a step in the setup wizard to add a passcode. Detects "weak" passcodes when "use complex passcode" is selected.

It's easier to read, and the bar heights in the old faux-histogram presentation don't actually represent anything.

On B1 I had an issue where I had a text notification that would not go away (even though there's no text). It carried over to B2. Yeesh.

I can already say overall it feels snappier. Animations are cleaner, Safari is working faster.

More bug testing!

I haven't downloaded it yet, but I wouldn't hold my breath on icons being changed. Probably one of the last things that will be changed, there's a lot of bugs and performance issues that are more important to get out quickly right now. At some point they also need to update the Apple apps that aren't included with iOS (but that people tend to use a lot), like iBooks, Podcasts, Trailers, etc.

I had an issue with Location services getting stuck and killed battery and also the signal strength dots wouldnt register (So it looked like I had no signal all the time)

Hope thats fixed...

Anyone know if the double notifications went away? Had the issue of clearing a notification and it coming back instantly.

I also had this issue in beta 1, and have only tested with one notification on beta 2, but did not get double notifications this time. Here's to hoping it's fixed.

Can I suggest something to MR?

Please stop saying that "you must be a registered Apple developer" to download this, as the formulation is misleading.

I am registered but I am NOT able to download the betas.

The correct form would be: "You must be a paid Apple developer" or something like that in order to properly differentiate between those two categories of developers - those who are registered for free (with limited/nonexistent access to beta downloads) and those who pay.

Thanks.

I'm glad to hear that some of the Music.app bugs have been fixed. Now, if they could get Podcasts straightened out, I'd go back to iOS 7 in a heartbeat.
