I'm confused. Does this mean that all my original apps will still work just fine on this latest beta? I can safely upgrade to this version and not loose any functionality?

thanks for the clarification lol

If you are a developer you should know what does or does not work. You're asking as if you're a consumer using a hacked copy.

I don't get why they release a seed that they know has a bug in and say they are going to fix it later, why not just fix it then release the seed.

It has far more bugs in it that they are aware of than they let the developers know about. This is how beta testing goes, not every release is rock solid. This particular bug may require a rather lengthy fix, so why hold up testing on everything else to wait for this one to be resolved?

God, I hope they've gotten rid of having to unlock the phone with a finger swipe when the phone is sleeping and you double-tape the Home button.

When the phone is sleeping, and I double-tap the Home button, I want to go straight to my phone favorites, not have to do the finger swipe gesture and *then* double-tap the Home button.

Ah, ok xD

No, I just do not want my phone to screw up anymore (besides the fact that it's a beta). I have been fine on the first 2 betas and then when something says you cannot run pre 3.0 OS apps... its kind of cloudy as to what exactly it means.

No need to make assumptions.

Gosh yeah. Me too. First on my list.

Exactly, I'm also a paid developer, but I develop on MY ONLY IPHONE! So I don't wan this to bust all the other apps I come to use daily. Not all of us are so fortunate to own a dedicated test-only device. You want to buy me one?

So what's the word? Will my other apps still work like they did before? (at least, hopefully better?)

Also, I read that as: Apple is purposely blocking older apps to prevent people from pirating it. Sucks for some of us though.

sorry in app restrictions is not in beta 2. i know i still have it.

I totally apologize! I looked at the whole screen shot and not the details. You are correct about the app restrictions being added. I will make sure to update my thread 100 features with your post if you do not mind.

I'm with you on this. All my apps still work. I assume it means if you compile something with the new SDK it will not run on any other device except the new 3.0 beta 3.

Yeah, the seed notes say "build target" compiled for... It's about the connection between the debugger and the device.
