Installed 3.0c as soon as it came out. I can tell a huge difference in performance. stable and fast so far. I installed as an upgrade not as a new phone from 3.0b. Very good progress so far!
I don't get why they release a seed that they know has a bug in and say they are going to fix it later, why not just fix it then release the seed.
2. Because the target audience (developers writing apps using 3.0 features) are not affected. The only ones affected are the non-developers who try to install the beta on their iPhones for a cheap thrill, that is people who shouldn't even have the beta. If none of the applications from the Appstore will work anymore, maybe that stops them.
1. Because that would take time and delay the beta version.

Developers that have downloaded and are creating apps with the 3.0 SDK.
I am a developer and I can confirm that this build works with all apps purchased on the app store that worked in the previous builds of 3.0, as well as my test apps that I compiled for the previous 3.0 beta builds.
Thank you. Is there anyone that is saying any different? There seems to be some serious confusion on this point.
I think the confusion comes from something Apple released saying " "Applications targeting devices prior to iPhone OS 3.0 beta cannot be tested in this seed."
I think what they mean is apps compiled in Xcode with the target set to iPhone OS 2.x won't work, but app apps purchased from the app store work fine (well.. with the same bugs as the previous 3.0 release in certain apps).
the sound would work for awhile then shut off after use for awhile
I had this issue as well. I'll see if it is fixed if others haven't done so.
