i guess apple has noticed how much people want this update and they have decided not to let it out. this proves that steve jobs is still involved at apple. I can here him laughing at everyone's anguish in alabama.
This is lame! I thought checking for updates every night was a Windows thing! Is it me or is this the longest it has taken from the rumor sites "imminent release announcement" to actual release?

You're not alone. I've been literally been trying the "Check Now" button every few hours. I'll try it one more time at 11 (after 10:57). If it's not up by then.. then it's probably going to be tomorrow.
Not a chance? It's only 8:38 PM PDT, plenty of time for a 11:00 PM release, no? Or did I miss something?
Well since we are one day from May now, I'm gonna throw in a wild guess that it will be released on May 7th "Mac OS X 10.5.7 released on May 7th" would be kinda cool, or ironic, or both May as well make of game of it since we've waited so long already. I hope it doesn't take another week for release, but at this point I think guessing the winning lottery numbers would be easier than guessing when they will actually get this out to the public.

The blog page didn't say it had been released public, but internal to Apple developers. Although it doesn't make sense they removed it, it just stated release 'should be this week'.
