Same here, I saw there is a Catalina beta version of Carbon Copy Cloner mention here. Can’t wait. Catalina and iOS 13 look like great releases.

it a complete new installer even has a pretty picture on it6.45 GB - about 3 hours remaining. Yeah, I figured Beta 2 would be popular...
Also Beta 1 should really be Alpha 1 and Beta 2 should be the start of the Beta's as they start fixing functions (and breaking others)The command for making a bootable usb has changed in beta 2.
It is now
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled
whereas before it was
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 10.15\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled
so “10.15” has been replaced by “Catalina”.
This has become quite a regular thing going from beta 1 to beta 2 for several versions now.
I think the reason is beta 1 literally doesn’t have a name until the keynote at wwdc, but they want all the betas ready anyway for that event. So beta 1 is nameless. But by the time beta 2 comes it has a name.
I'd like to see them bring back home sharing - at least by the final build.
Things like apps not reflecting in Launchpad
How did the upgrade work for those who tried it? Was it an actual upgrade or a clean install?
This is what I see:

When I click the "Upgrade Now" button and then click "Install" in the dialog, it warns me that files on the root of the volume will be removed. Is it safe to proceed?

let me know if its any better that's why I went back to MojaveI sure hope it fixes that busted Music app.
It's in there, it's just been moved to System Preferences -> Sharing -> Media Sharing.
VMWare Fusion Pro 11 no longer works, or at least it now causes the system to crash and reboot on startup or when starting a VM. Worked fine in Beta 1.
Apple said in early July during the kevnote.
I could not sync my iPhone X. It would show in Finder but I'd get a blank page after it loaded the space remaining data. The Music and Apple TV apps are bare minimum functionality. Photos didn't like my default data file. Fortunately, I had backups. All sorts of weird issues. However, it was stable for a first beta otherwise.

Where was it? I saw no place to turn it on and nothing showed up on the Apple TV (I have the 4 - it hasn't been updated to the beta).
Time Machine supporting APFS disks?
Someone mentioned that Home Sharing worked just fine in Catalina. I never saw where to turn it on. Was he mistaking it for Family Sharing? Home Sharing is/was one of the best features for using the Apple TV as a home theater. Please tell me I don't have to start using Plex...
Seed note just says
"During upgrades to macOS 10.15, files and folders stored at the root-level of a volume are no longer moved aside to /Library/SystemMigration/History/Migration-UUID/QuarantineRoot/."
So is it safe to proceed?
This is a beta. It is never safe to proceed.
Just tried it again after running Beta 2 for a few hours and it did startup and run my Windows 10 Enterprise VM without causing another crash. It could have been something else in the background running earlier but it only crashed when starting up Fusion and/or the VM. Time will tell I guess.Fusion Pro 11.1 running a Windows 10 Pro VM here with no problems.
