That setting is missing from my System Settings ("File Vault" is directly beneath "Allow apps downloaded from...").

My external display (secondary monitor) stops working after I installed the Beta 7. 😫 I hope they could fix it asap. Beta 7 is a total mess!
Then don’t use it. It’s for beginners and grandmas, not power users
I really don’t understand why they need to waste time developing those gimmicks instead of going back to the basics.
AirPods are still not switching automatically between devices but they advertise it like crazy when you buy them, just to mention one.
Dashboard is not in Ventura. These commands have nothing to do with widgets.

It is not indeed. But the terminal command worked for me so at the code level dashboard still exist. Calm down.
It's not there for me, either. I've not tried to connect any external drives (apart from a NAS, which works fine).
I'll dig out a USB drive, connect it, and see if that triggers the option to appear.
Aha. I have an Intel MBA.
Yesterday I installed public beta 6. It addressed my biggest gripe in Ventura. Now working with multiple windows, if I choose to temporarily save a window clicking on the top left yellow button, that window moves to the bottom right on the dock (like in pre-Ventura). In earlier Beta versions, those saved windows irritatingly joined the working icons on the left side of the display.
It apparently doesn't work for everybody (it certainly didn't for me).

They weren’t being arrogant here, just pointing out that there’s no more Dashboard (RIP). But, as is usually the case, leftover code remains. So, everybody’s right. Hey! For those of you that were able to get your Widgets working again after those Terminal commands, do the Widgets continue to work after a reboot? I would assume the issue would remain and then running both commands would “fix” it again then? I’m hoping we get the installer file soon so we can create USB installers. I’d feel better about the current state of macOS after a clean install.
This happened to me (16" M1 Max), but rebooting again fixed the issue.
Widgets on the other hand...
this happened to me on a macOS 12 beta and drove me nuts. I've held off on b7 until this is resolved.
