As part of the release notes for Beta 5, Apple made it clear that the faces functionality was not being removed, but that any previous face data was being deleted and must be reanalyzed.
This is true, but as of the last beta the faces are not synced between devices. I am in the process of downloading now, but wondering if faces will ever sync. I did a pretty good job of tagging all the faces on my macOS Photos, but they have not synced to my other devices. In the process I did get to report several bugs and crashes.

Some adults have children. And young relatives. And other acquaintances that will spam them, however innocent their intentions might be.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how this can become a major annoyance.
Sounds like the issue lies elsewhere then. After all people can be calling your phone and leaving stupid voicemails, or ringing your door bell and running away, but those aren't really issues with the phone or the doorbell, right?

Anyone know if this version fixes the issue with Good for Enterprise (GfE)? GfE was functional with the betas until the last version (DB6/PB5). I've consequently held off and I'm still running DB6/PB5. Hopeful this corrects the issue.
i run GfE on my ipad without any issues on the betas. what are you seeing?

So in order to avoid visual diarrhea on my cellphone, I should tell kids to stop being kids? How about the ability to disable said visual diarrhea?

Like I said, I'm moving to Android so it's a moot point. I'm still entitled to my view, however. Apple is now catering to 12 year olds and it shows.

Dock seems to be fixed, but after typing the comma, it doesn't switch back to letters. Still a bug I guess. Apple Music also acts differently, but not sure if it's a bug or not. In iOS 9, I would select an artist and then choose songs. I'd kick off the first song and it would just play the next one automatically. Now it just plays that one song and that's it. I have to manually choose the next song. Works fine on music stored on my phone.

Build 14A5341a.

Bah, there'll just be some other way for a strange child to spam you over on the 'droid side.

Does the iMessage effects work for you?

Obviously it's more than the changes to iMessage, although Apple still hasn't clarified if the receiver is able to disable these "rich notifications". In that sense, it most certainly is being forced upon you. Anyone older than 12 will understand why this is an issue.

So you want your messages to be vanilla with no effects? You realize people can send you animated gifs and bitmoji's on Android right?

Do the Developers get Beta 6 and Public Beta Testers get the previous Beta....so Beta 5 today?

I only see Beta 5 in my updates

This is the 5 beta for the Public Beta testers (and 6th for the developers). My guess is they are the same build, but this is just a count of the number of betas each group has.

Still has the folder view bug. Click on a folder and click out really quick and the display gets distorted for a second. Annoying - I know just don't do it.

Firewolve indicated that the prior Beta broke GfE (I believe for an iPhone). I consequently, did install the latest version or this version yet. If you're indicating it's running fine, I guess I'll give it go.

(here's that thread - Tuesday @ 1:50: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...lic-beta-testers.1987159/page-7#post-23220880)

Can't speak to the iphone version, but I really have not had issues with the ipad version of Good.

EDIT: Since having downloaded the latest beta today, I have not received any emails in Good. So maybe now I do have an issue :(

You should shotgun your iPhone since you don't need it any more and post a video!

Sorry, I don't actually live in 'Murica.

But I might as well. This slippery POS already has a nice long crack from corner to corner. Depending on resale value, I might take a hammer to it instead. I'm not joking either -- did that with an old IBM laptop that gave me nothing but trouble. Highly therapeutic, highly recommended.

Cue the "how's battery life" and "is it stable enough for daily use" posts.

Odd that they're already releasing another beta, only a week after the last one. I like this.

I think, there must be some serious security plugs they must be fixing. There is no real reason to release betas weekly all of a sudden, unless there are some serious issues that were fixed and they want them plugged. But then, if that were the case, they would have released a point update to the normal OS channel as well. So.. can't really figure what's Apple's game here.
