I see what you did there!Ive has been loving Apple for quite some time.
It had the exact opposite effect on me -- I'm heading to Android. To each their own.
You obviously need to find a set of more mature friends.Obviously it's more than the changes to iMessage, although Apple still hasn't clarified if the receiver is able to disable these "rich notifications". In that sense, it most certainly is being forced upon you. Anyone older than 12 will understand why this is an issue.
Were you sarcastic or serious? You do know you don't have to use all the features baked into the system right?![]()
They don't take up any space. When you tap on the input field, the buttons disappear. Besides, its not like the space the buttons occupy was doing anything before. They're right there in the new redesigned interface. Whether you install them or not, the buttons remain taking up space and cluttering the UI.

Some adults have children. And young relatives. And other acquaintances that will spam them, however innocent their intentions might be.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how this can become a major annoyance.
Sounds like the issue lies elsewhere then. After all people can be calling your phone and leaving stupid voicemails, or ringing your door bell and running away, but those aren't really issues with the phone or the doorbell, right?
Besides not cluttering up the UI in a useless distracting manner? No, nothing at all. They don't take up any space. When you tap on the input field, the buttons disappear. Besides, its not like the space the buttons occupy was doing anything before.
Yes!
Can I turn them off or remove the buttons? No? Huh, sounds pretty forced then. You don't have to use them? Seems a ways off from "forced".
I do, but I raised them to be respectable people. *shrugs*You obviously don't have children.
Okay, how would you have implemented them?Besides not cluttering up the UI in a useless distracting manner? No, nothing at all.
Except they do take up space. Primarily using my phone with my left hand since I am left-handed it is taking a little getting used to that I need to tap on the right half of the screen to be able to type. The same can be said for the lock screen, if you use your left thumb to swipe notifications I end up going to the widgets page and not unlocking the phone. They don't take up any space. Good luck with Android then. Try deleting the gmail app off an android device if you don't use gmail. Is Google forcing gmail down your throat then? Or is it okay because they're google and not apple? Can I turn them off or remove the buttons? No? Huh, sounds pretty forced then.

Not all things were made especially for any one of is, everything is going to have something that we deem superfluous. Just because those things exist doesn't mean they're being forced down our throats...
or put another way, just because something is being forced down our throat by one company doesn't mean another company isn't going to force something else down our throats.
I use and prefer iOS (and the broader Apple set of devices), but have no real issues with Android beyond subjective differences in taste (maybe a little bit of an issue with security on Android too). To each their own. I'll sit here and enjoy iOS and macOS and those who like Android can sit over there and enjoy their android devices! Their using android (or some user choosing to switch for silly/justified reasons) doesn't really impact me so live and let live, and all the other platitudes.Android is still arse! It sucks, it is ugly, and the battery still sucks. I have an S6 sitting in my drawer used for 2 days I will sell you for $300.
The day when Emoji requires 4 gbs or more of hard space of your ios devices......
