And this is worth people losing their minds? Not the animation, but the delay from pressing the home button to the animation starting. It was absolutely instant on iOS 10 on iPhone 7, now there is like a .3 to .5 delay before the closing starts.

Well with ProMotion and iOS 10 on a new iPad Pro it actually does feel like iOS 6 smoothness all over again. Which is why I'm scared iOS 11 might ruin that. Everything is seriously instantaneous right now. Not just animations but just the overall speed. Apps are open before I lift my hand sometimes after tapping them.I just think we've forgotten how rock solid and smooth iOS 6 truly was. We've just become accustomed to UI stutters and jitters for the past four years since iOS 7. I have a five year old iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 and it is smooth as butter, more so than an iPhone 7 running iOS 10.3.3.
I still have hopes that iOS 11 combined with the new iPhone with its (hopefully) ProMotion display will redeem some of that smoothness back.
Probably close to GM, but the GM will be a full download of the OS again. Apple will call it out as the Golden Master in the description of the update when that goes live. It'll probably be on the day of the event then the public release will be 3-4 days later.
While that may be true, you JUST installed it. Give it 24hrs before rushing to judgement. After 24hrs, then you can damn it to Hell.So first time trying out iOS 11 on iPhone 7 Plus and its horrible compared to iOS 10.3.3. There is stutter in the 3DT menu and I immediately noticed the delay on pressing the home button. It was instant on iOS 10.3.3. Not upgrading to iOS 11 next week and keeping my iPhone on 10.3.3 till I get the iPhone 8. I am not falling for Apple's planned obsolescence staregy
And I have not liked the behavior. Was it this way in iOS 10?Been that way since beta 1.
Gm is usually minutes after the event.GM is usually 7 days after the event.
Why cant i say the truth without ppl on here making jokes, im a loyal apple fan but problems are still here after 10 betas cause im gonna talk about them so let me write what i like ppl on here are so wierd sometimes
Good to know....but seems contradictory to many here even claiming the iPad Pro 10.5 has some animation issues.I've been pretty happy through this beta period, but everything feels really good on the last 3. No issues, smooth frame rates, everything seems to be working as expected. iPad has been even better. Happy with everything so far.

Still has the erroneous share to Twitter button in Photos and Camera - it throws up an error message but does work.
I can bear the stutters but I cant stand that home button delay. How come no one treats it as a big deal. Its the first thing I noticed when I pressed the home buttonWhile that may be true, you JUST installed it. Give it 24hrs before rushing to judgement. After 24hrs, then you can damn it to Hell.![]()
