They keep releasing updates that don't fix problems.... 2 glaring ones, speaker phone randomly doesn't work. At all. Also, tinder app breaks incoming calls and crashes phone.
I've never had an issue with the speaker phone with the betas. Never used the Tinder app, but that might be an issue with the app not being updated yet for iOS 11.

Seems like Apple has a bunch of would-be janitors in their developers' office. They work out what the release date is (clock-watching) and then work backwards to see how little they need to do in the early stages. Maybe they're not paid enough to bust their asses from beginning to end.
Didn't know you worked at Apple and knew their strategy and every worker involved. Not to mention knowing that they knew a date for release and event a long time before public release, which contradicts rumors too.

There's no High Sierra beta?

Couldn't see anything new in addition to iOS 11 DB10 besides the Kernel Debug Kit for the last beta before the Developer Portal went down.

iOS 11 beta 10 — Changes and Issues

I was quoting and replying to someone who was saying that Apple releases new builds that “don’t fix problems.” To back up that claim he offered anecdotal evidence that his phone crashes when he’s on tinder.

My point was, he’s not justified to claim that they “aren’t fixing any problems” just because his Tinder problem isn’t fixed. There are obviously changes made to this version that fix some problem, and to claim otherwise without having a source to back it up is false.

More to the point, 3rd party apps more often than not are the culprits of instability, especially when they continue to use private frameworks that Apple routinely modifies.

When you’re done smhing, remind me when you asked me.

The only part that annoys me is: 1. Siri is slow to activate on my iPhone 6. 2. Turning off airplane mode sometimes turns on bluetooth.... they still haven't seemed to been able to fix these issues.

Same ppl on this forum dont get it but the delay is what i see everytime i use my phone and 3 months later still same

Three months later, and it’s still the same, because three months later, it’s still a beta. The beta will be full of diagnostic code. If after the beta, the speed isn’t up to your standards, then don’t upgrade.

Anyone else not seeing how to "save to phone" when using the Files app? Only options I have are iCloud Drive and Google Drive...
I understand that Files app won’t be fully functional until iOS is officially released and cloud apps have been updated.

Not the animation, but the delay from pressing the home button to the animation starting. It was absolutely instant on iOS 10 on iPhone 7, now there is like a .3 to .5 delay before the closing starts.
Make sure you don’t have an accessibility option on like Smart Invert - Because there’ll be a delay after hitting the home button since the system waits to see if you’re triple clicking.

Managed to get this.
I dont Know if it was possible before.

Already reported it, but wanted to share this

Its not a mayor issue but still.. Well... Strange.

Easily done by pulling down nc to 75%
Double tap home while the Animation of nc finishes to drop it down.

Im curious if you can repro this?

Assuming my inability to find update is related to the hack that took developer portal down?

No, this is definitely not the GM. Apple never releases a GM before the iPhone event. A GM is intended to be the exact same version as the final release going out to the public and serves the purpose to allow developers to test their apps on that version ahead of its release to make sure everything is working fine.

It would make no sense for Apple to release the GM ahead of the event, since it would reveal everything about the new iPhones. For instance, the final version would have to include stuff like iPhone 8 glyphs for the devices section in the iCloud settings and the Find my iPhone app or strings revealing the naming scheme of the new iPhones. If you dug in deeper into the code, you would likely find everything there is to know about every single feature. Also, because its main purpose is developer testing, a GM release wouldn’t make any sense if it wasn’t accompanied by an Xcode GM, which would obviously have to contain an iPhone 8 Simulator. This is clearly something Apple wouldn’t want to do, especially after the huge HomePod leak.

You're not completely right. This may have not been released as the GM but the build number on this might be the same as the GM's next week, thus indicating this release is a GM. Only time will tell.

Now this is NOT always the case. Apple has historically made some last minute changes where the build number on the GM differs from the last released beta.

Why should it wait for a triple click if it don't wait for a double (app switcher)? Just don't make sense to me.

That has been true for most of the smaller .X updates, where the last beta had the exact same build number as the public release. However, this is most likely not the case for a major update like this. If this beta was indeed the GM (and thus the version intended for public distribution), it would, for example, have to contain device assets that depict the new iPhone models, so they would show up properly in the iCloud preferences or the Find My iPhone app, which is currently not the case, of course. To include those and all the other iPhone 8 features and references (which are not in there due to their typical beta cleanup), there will have to be another version—the GM.

As far as those last minute changes are concerned, it's not something that Apple would deliberately do just to include all those iPhone 8 references. They would only do that in case of an emergency where a critical bug fix is required, since they will have to install the GM on new iPhone units in production in order for them to be available for launch. In that case, I would expect Apple to skip the public iOS 11.0 release altogether and instead releasing a 11.0.1 version as the initial iOS 11 update for customers, which would be available as a day one update for new iPhones shipping at launch. Something similar actually happened last year, where the first iPhone 7 and 7 Plus units shipped with iOS 10.0, but the version released to existing customers was iOS 10.0.1. However, the difference here is that Apple didn't even seed a GM of iOS 10.0, but instead of 10.0.1.

Why should it wait for a triple click if it don't wait for a double (app switcher)? Just don't make sense to me.

I think you have the wrong idea. it delays the double click because it is waiting to see if you are going to click it again to make a triple click. Can you imagine if there was no delay, and every time you wanted to triple click, and you were a tad slower on the 3rd click? You would basically get the app switcher, then it would register as a single click after that, and you would be back to where you started. I'm not sure what you mean by "if it don't wait for a double."

Can anyone with a 6/7 Plus reach the music tile in iOS 11 control center one-handed???
I can, but a user should be able to reorder and hide unused controls. In the current state the control center is half baked. It looks like they rushed again, or the UI quality check is really low now.
