I also received the same email. Still getting to my apple store way early Thursday morning though. I am having a hard time taking the email on face value just because of the debacle of the ordering process that took place last Tuesday. Just my 2 cents.

any UK people who got the reservation reminder email or is it only for USA?
i haven't got mine yet(UK) :(

I received my initial email confirmation after I reserved m phone. However, I never received an email confirmation today. Anyone else?

Should I be hesitant to show up in the afternoon? I have heard reports of apple stores running out of phones for reserved customers before. I just don't see the need to wait in a line if you supposedly can show up at any time during the day.

Does anyone know if Business accounts are still being directed to AT&T for Purchase? I have a reservation at the Apple store for iPhone 4, but 2 years ago for the 3g I was directed to the AT&T store for purchase.

Can't get through to Apple on the phone to ask that question, wondering if anyone has had better luck.

I called the apple store a little while ago after I got the reminder email because my company is purchasing the phone for me and I wanted to know what info I had to bring in since the account wasn't in my name and the first thing they asked was if it was a business account because they can't handle business accounts at the apple store. (luckily it's not, it's just a small design firm so it's a normal account)

I got my email confirmation. However it still says $599 and $699.
I bought my iPhone 3gs in on June 19th launch day last year.
I have a FAN account. Is that why the right price is not showing up?
Thanks

With stories of reservations being cancelled going around...

I was happy to get my confirmation of my confirmation today. I don't think i'll be there at 7:00 am, but I'll probably be there around 8:00, just in case things are as crazy as they seem like they'll be.

I am not sure if a Corporate account (with FAN) is a Business account. I have a corporate account and had reserved an iPhone 4. The reminder mail I got asks me to go to the Apple store only.

I think it's the same. I think we are on the same boat. :( Destination no iPhone.

Yeah, you're one of the lucky ones. I heard of my friend actually cancelling his Business Account while in line, to turn it into a regular account, then changing it back to a Business Account (the discount takes place 2 months after). He said it was a difficult process and I should get a friend that works in AT&T.

Gonna wake up early on the 24th, hit up the AT&T Store, they have iPhones available and the line isn't as long as the Apple Store line. Last time I got out of the Apple line while it was 3 stores down and around the corner and got into the AT&T line and was able to get a White iPhone 3g. Luckily.

I wonder if it's due to the discoloration that the iPhone 3g white ones had, which caused this manufacturing error? I mean they did make white 3gs's. You would have thought that Apple would have learned about that.

Oh I forgot that the iPhone 4 was being released this Thursday! I must have also forgot that I spent hours on end just to try to get this reservation! Thanks AT$T for the friendly reminder. I just somehow forgot . . .

So glad I used the Apple Store App on the iPhone to make this reservation. I even talked to the guys at the Apple Store where I was picking it up, they assured me that they won't give it away & it'll be there waiting for me on Thursday! :D

I need some clarification on this.

I have a corporate discount FAN added to my account. I am scheduled to pick up an iPhone 4 from my local Apple store on the 24th. I will be adding a new line to my account for this iPhone 4 (The phone is for my wife).

Will it not be possible to pickup the iPhone at the Apple store on the 24th and add the new line under my account (has FAN) there?

I was told that this is still the case. I too have a business account (discount through my employer) and was told by an Apple Store genius that I'd still need to go through AT&T, which I did for the iPhone 4.

I contacted AT&T Premier Support Services and was told I could upgrade in an Apple Store with no issue. I wanted to be sure to check before I actually went through the hassle of reserving my iPhone4.

Hope this helps!

This Is Weird

I Called The Apple Store To See If Im Still On The List For Reserved Phone Iphone 4 I Gave Them My Email Address And Name And They Said I Wasnt On The Lsit Then How Did I Get The Emails To Come Pick Up My The Phone???

Apple needs your social security number?? I think thats a little too much.

If memory serves from the 3G launch, it's technically AT&T and not Apple that need your SSN, Apple is just processing it for you through AT&T. But anyway, I also don't see why they need it, and I know someone who recently had a bunch of utility accounts fraudulently set up in her name because someone got ahold of her SSN (probably through her phone company or some other company that had it but didn't keep it secure). It was a huge headache to get everything sorted out. One's SSN use should only be required for government or employer use, not for business transactions, in my opinion.

I sure hope this is the case, I tried to get the 3G on launch day, but was denied, because I had FAN attached to my account. Apple called ATT that day, and had them take the fan off, and had me come back in a couple of hours. After all that, I still wasn't able to get the phone when I came back. So I ended up having to go to an ATT store and lucked into someone returning a phone, while I was there, 2 days later. I sure hope that this isn't a problem, otherwise, I'll be calling to cancel the FAN, and start it back up again, after I get the phone.

I never got the original email confirmation, even though I made it to the confirmation screen.. and I have not received this email either. Looks like I'll be waiting for my new phone.

Also, I called the store and they have no record of my confirmation.

On top of all that, now my original iPhone is depressed about the release of iOS4. He's feeling a little bit inadequate. :(

Interesting... On the 15th, I made numerous attempts to pre-order an iPhone via Apple's website, but was not successful until after midnight. During one of my attempts during the day, I had gotten to the point where the website was saying it could not process my pre-order but I could reserve a phone at my local store. So I went ahead and did so. But I never received any kind of confirmation notice that I have a phone reserved.

I later went ahead and pre-ordered a phone, but it won't ship until July 2nd.

So, how do I confirm that I still have a reservation? If I have one, and if I choose to go pick one up on Thursday morning, will I be able to cancel my pre-order?

This is my EXACT situation. I got through the select my iphone and pay, but it ended at a page stating an error has occurred and had asked me to pick up an iphone at a store of my choosing. Does not ask me for name or email address... Only info collected was the phone number, 4 digits of my SSN, and my zip code.

I called the Apple store I selected about 2 days after... I explained my situation and she plainly states that if I see the "We'll see you at the store." screen, then I have an iphone reserved... She proceeds to explain to me that I will need to get in the reserved line instead of the public line...

I'm still unsure... but here's hopes that there's one iPhone 4 32GB waiting for me.

You may not be eligible for an upgrade yet. Most folks aren't eligible until 18 months after the start of a new 2 year contract and that would put you in January 2011, one month outside the "generous upgrade offer."

I am glad I got this, that way I know for sure it went through and they did not cancel it on me. I was going to pre-order mine but I would have had to enter all my information but I could not since I am porting my number from Sprint.
