Isn't that the job of marketing?

Nope.

This forum is read by people in various time zones. So I guess he mentioned he was British to explain why he would be coming home at the time of the Apple event. Most of the U.S. will be trying to figure out if we can get away with going in to work late or sneak away for an extended lunch.

You answered the question with 0% accuracy :p

Still not sold on Apple Watch. I don't like wearing anything on my wrist and I do not believe in buying a first generation ANYTHING.

Nobody will, the iPod was pap, so was the iPhone.

Look how that went :)

I just don't understand responding to articles that about something you don't like and telling others you don't like it. Makes no sense. Visit the boards you're interested in and respond when you're interested.

Obviously another Mac user exasperated with the increasing prioritization of fashion over functionality at Apple for over a decade. Valid reaction.

I'm curious about this launch and look forward to seeing how real-world use cases pan out.

I have a few friends who have taken the plunge and I've worn a watch since my early teens (30+ years) yet none of these "smart" watches have me longing for one.

I prefer Android to iOS for my phone but have other Apple devices in the house. As a tech enthusiast (geek), these watches have me more curious than anything.

I own several Victorinox watches and have always been fascinated by the actual mechanical elements that conventional watches hide inside their casings. Somehow, replacing all those miniaturized gears, springs, screws and other bits with silicone seems unfulfilling. Kinda like when CGI gets over-used in moves over practical effects.

Pairing a watch-related event with the beginning of DST when clocks need to be re-adjusted is a stroke of marketing genius.

I would agree but since everything is digitized and automatic, there really is no need to adjust clocks anymore (in the traditional sense). It all happens automatically....

You can't pair more than one Apple Watch to an iPhone.

Has this officially been said by Apple? I can understand having only one being able to be connected at a time but if your first Apple Watch ran out of battery power and lost its Bluetooth connection with your iPhone I don't see why you couldn't then connect a second Apple Watch. That and more money for Apple if people do this, so I'm not seeing why there would be a restriction.

OH YESSS !!! So much new stuff the next 2 weeks. Soon Microsoft unleashes new phones (next week) and on 1. March Samsung Galaxy S6 and now Apple Watch :-O

Im soon going to get SO MUCH NEW stuff :-D

Ah, I already had the invite tagline designed in my head....

"It's time..."

Maybe there are actual mechanical springs in the watch they are going to reveal instead?

Yeah. Except Pebble used the tag line "It's time" for their announcement on the 24th...

Here's what we'll see at this event:

Pretty much confirmed: Apple Watch final production version

Very likely but not confirmed: 12" MacBook Air with Broadwell CPU technology and Apple's new music stream service derived from the old Beats Music service.

Maybe: 12+ inch (diagonal) iPad Pro and new iPod touch models using the iPhone 6's 4.7" display, maybe Touch ID, and 32, 64 and 128 GB of local storage

I just want an updated Macbook Pro Retina 15! 32gb ram support!

Im using about 13gb of the 16 available when compiling code on the go :(

I don't think the chips from intel to replace the ones in the MBPs are shipping yet

When that will happen?

when apple sells 4k devices?? aka not any time soon

12" Retina Air come to Papa (I just returned my 13" Air for this...about time) :D

I am surprised more people aren't talking about this. I am super stoked to see the new fanless retina Air with Core M.

I just finished reviewing a fanless asus ux305. pretty cool device, but overall disappointment, I know apple (and other manufacturers). can do better.

I am real curios how thin the rMBA will be, and what resolution? and what it will cost at

Probably going to be a new 15" MacBook Pro...considering I just bought one this past weekend...lol.

This makes my eyes go all fuzzy  There is always something about Apple's photo keynotes that make anyone go into a trance.

Sadly no. It was just stated that Apple aims the end of the year for Apple Pay in Europe.

Before the year ends, not the end of the year. Also, I think they were referring to when they'll have most of Europe covered. Anyway, I'm pretty sure we'll find out march 9.

Apple usually makes things thinner in the second generation, why not the watch?

And Apple tries to make most products light. The SS and Edition watches are not light (by design). This isn't like most Apple products. And most traditional watches aren't obsessed with being thin.

This is Apple, and these aren't traditional watches. You may be right, time will tell. :D
