So, you are insinuating I am a hypocrite because I visit this site, but am not excited about the Apple Watch. You do realize Apple makes more than just watches, right?
I am much more interested in news related to macs and I hope there is more emphasis on that in the upcoming event.

I just don't understand responding to articles that about something you don't like and telling others you don't like it. Makes no sense. Visit the boards you're interested in and respond when you're interested.

Someone's probably already replied but hey. 1800.

No, it will be 1700, we don't get +1 till 29th March! Don't be an hour late!

The clocks don't go forward in the UK until 29th March, I'm not quite sure which way it'll affect us though, whether it'll be 5pm or 7pm. I think it will make it 5pm our time but if someone could clarify?

5pm

If this truly is an Apple watch event, it has peculiar timing. It's at least a full month before it's release. Either it's something else (iPad Pro, MBA) or they have some significant new features that would require such a time lag. Maybe something for developers??

Remember for iPad/iPhone they always have the event a week and a half before release. And for the iPhone/iPad initial launch sure they announced months in advance, but I don't believe they had another whole media event dedicated to announce it's launch/further details...

Who says it's a full month before its released? It could be released for pre-orders THAT DAY :D <watch this space

Really can't wait for this event and don't think I've been this excited for an Apple event since... Last September when the Watch was first announced.

I'm hoping with the event this early in March, it signals an early April launch, around the 3rd. Really hoping we get it in the UK on the same date as the U.S. and it's not delayed although all previous new product launches suggest otherwise.

The icing on the cake would be a launch date for Pay in the UK. I don't believe the end of the year roll out is accurate and has been blown out of proportions. Although I don't think we'll get it in April when Visa is launching tokenisation, we'll get it soon after. My prediction is June/July but hoping for an earlier date.

Like I said, so excited!!

This forum is read by people in various time zones. So I guess he mentioned he was British to explain why he would be coming home at the time of the Apple event. Most of the U.S. will be trying to figure out if we can get away with going in to work late or sneak away for an extended lunch.

Because an American wouldn't be getting home at 10am in the morning, unless they had an all-nighter on the Sunday.

Just the way it read was that because he was British makes him unable to be home on time for anything. :)

There's now a Duff's about 1 1/2 miles from the Walden Galleria, so it's even more convenient to go down there now.

It's nice living in a border city. We go to Canada all the time for things that we can't get in the US. Like, Black Friday. Walmart offers the same black friday sales that they do in the States, but there are no lines as Canadians don't celebrate black friday like the States. Mostly because their Thanksgiving is in October. :)

Presidential Duffs!

thanks for the clarification.

Nah, we already have "Baja" ontario then. Thats Hamilton, also referred to affectionately by Ontarians as Ontario's Armpit.

I thought that Ontario's armpit was the Leafs locker room... God they suck bad this year. Thank god I'm in Montreal ;-). Sorry for the jab... Nah, not really sorry.

Besides the Apple Watch and the new R-MBA, seems everybody forgets the iMac 4K Retina 21-24", and the also expected to arrive soon Updated Mac Pro (DDR4 ATI D310/D510/D710, TB3).

While other products (as RMBP) could wait wor WWDC to update.

I bet on the Apple Watch, rMba and Updated nMacPro.

AHH so excited! I hope they announce some cool new stuff as well. :D

I would love to see something new for the living room but I doubt they will introduce that alongside the :apple:Watch. One game changing tech device at a time.

There's no reason to make this watch smaller or slimmer,

I wouldn't want the watch face to get smaller; it is almost too small as it is for all the functions we'd want it to do. But I'm definitely hoping it gets thinner, so it fits better under long sleeves, plus less bulk should make it more comfortable to wear. Also, I believe the watch can get considerably thinner without sacrificing compatibility with the current watch bands.

Don't remind me. I've been a leaf fan my entire life.

I won't be sarcastic...I'll assume you are ill informed - starts at $349. Most likely the sports with the plastic strap...

Every watch has ALL the sensors.

You don't know that every watch has ALL the sensors, I'm also dubious about the level of water protection between models. We will find out on the 9th.

:)

As someone who doesn't like the Montreal Canadiens, I've got to admit they're pretty good this year! I can't wait to get a team back in Quebec City (if that ever happens, of course).

As for the Apple Watch, I'd really love to get a stainless steel watch, but it'll probably be too expensive for me, so I guess I'll just stick to the Sport one...
