Hoping that the iPad 5 has Touch ID then count me in.

I really thought the one video that showed the new "leaked" iPad 5 screen that had a home button hole that PERFECTLY fit the Touch ID home button and ring off an iPhone 5 as PROOF that it will in fact have it.

So a 32GB WiFi space grey iPad 5 come to Papa!

I'm not saying but....

The Nexus 5 Will run ios 7 !! ;)

Well, awaiting the specs of the new iPad as I have my iPad 3 we'll going but having pain to stream hd movies... Hope dual A7 will help ;)

But honestly who is gonna get the new iPad 5 ? Previous versions run very well...

I've got iPad 3. I'm probably sitting out one more iteration. But product is too useful and gets too much daily use to leave it un-upgraded much longer.

Retina iPad Mini would also be a possible buy. Got to see if those come out and if there is any tradeoff (i.e., weight, heat or battery life) in putting such a powerful screen in a fairly small size. Also, I might hold off for touch ID home screen.

Could we also see 7.1 to tie in with Mavericks release, new iOS devices etc?

Also, the leaves look like top down views of a watch. Haha.

I also really want to see new iLife and iWork, and iOS 7 versions of Apple apps too!

Not sure I understand what you're saying. Your agreeing and predicting there will be no Mac pro at this event or you're predicting there will be?

No no, I was saying that there will be a mention of the Mac Pro at the event due to the amount of media Apple put out.

Hoping that Apple will announce three things in regards to the New Mac Pro....RELEASE DATE...AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS...and PRICE for those configurations.

So we know WHEN it will be released...what the configuration rundown is...and what the pricing will be for those configurations. So far, we know NOTHING except "Coming later this year." That is all Apple has given us.

I would definitely buy a new iPad right away if it had TouchID and some form of user accounts. I've got a 5 year old and it is a pain to turn on the restrictions each time he uses it, or worse I forget and he finds it and deletes a load of photos.

Possibly. A previous poster suggested a 2 hour event evenly split among various products (e.g., Mavericks, Mac Pro, iPad, etc.)

If they do mention these Mac products is more likely to be a 90 minute event with 1/2 hour up front summarizing lots of great numbers of various kinds...briefly announce Mac Pro avail, Mavericks avail...then the rest all about iPad.

I just don't think they'll give it much time at all. iPad and iPhone are where all the money and attention is. They just won't give this much valuable press time to a product (Mac Pro) that's likely to sell less than 500K a year.

This is an iPad event.

Hopefully they have more to cover, as 2013 has been a pretty dismal year for new Apple hardware. iPhone 5S and 5C, pretty much minor evolutionary changes... I suspect this announcement will largely be the same... Minor changes to the iPads. Maybe no real Apple products for 2013. No TV again. No iWatch.

That's OK, as long as my stock recovers some more value, as people continue to buy these overhyped, revised products.

I doubt that. This is Christmas season. They primed the pump with iPhone, now iPad. Those other items would only cloud the message.

Message to who?

The message of the iPad is going to go to those consumers that want it, and the Pro stuff to those Pros.

How much are you really going to be able to talk about the iPad and iPad Mini?

New iPads/Mini

- It's a slightly different change in size
- They are adding retina to the mini
- Fingerprint sensor - already in depth at iPhone event
- Camera - already in depth at iPhone event
- New A7 processor - already in depth at iPhone event
- New M7 - already in depth at iPhone event
- iOS 7 - already out.

There isn't much they can really go over on the iPad/Mini that will take up a whole event.

Someone who is going to buy a MacPro or MacBookPro Retina isn't a consumer, they are Pro.

And those that want both will get both.

As with all Apple events, I'm excited. This one is going to be a much wider range of products and more exciting than the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iOS7 event.

Could mean a bigger iPad or it could mean the iPad mini is going retina and that the display is worth covering...? Plus the natural-ish colours in the invite would make a lot of sense that way!

The media, public, etc.

I get that. What you seem to not get is that this is basic marcomm (marketing communications). Keep the message simple and focused. Plus this is consumer time. This is very likely only or primarily an iPad event.

it could simply mean there is more devices that needs to be covered since everybody talks about the covers. New devices are coming, apple will have covers for them as well.

They are talking about ipads.

12 inch iPad?

Samsung will announce in 3,2.... they are already making 12, 13, 14, 15 inch'ers mother & father of tablets too!

Great, another completely relaxing keynote for me.

New iMac arrived two weeks ago, iPhone 4S is fine, and so is my iPad Mini from which I can read even without retina.

And once the keynote ends the Champions League footie starts :D

Gooooo BARCA Gooooo...! But it's just the league stage... So they don't really need a push... :p

Sorry OT
