Have had my sports band since 2015. I wear the watch every day and I barely change it to the other bands. Very good quality.
Thanks. I’ve noticed a few marks on mine, but when I touch then I can’t feel anything. Wasn’t sure if I should be worried. I’ve had mine since Xmas 2017.

with 'show time' being most likely a reference to their tv shows and/or changes to the iTunes store (4k shows, downloadable 4k, or whatever), a new Apple TV is the only hardware that would make sense

iTunes is not long for this world. Music sales have continued to plummet quarter after quarter. All you can eat music streaming is the new model. TV and movies are next. The writing is on the wall.

Apple TV will offer tv shows and movies from partner studios. Like Netflix, Apple will probably license a rotating library of movies and third party shows, paying them out per view, which will ultimately be higher than revenue from dedicated movie collectors buying digital movies on iTunes.

Maybe there’ll be a way to save movies to your personal library for an additional price but the iTunes Store as we know it will be gone soon.

This keynote is essentially one huge press statement where Apple can tell their story to the press directly.
It’s not meant for you, the average consumer.

So, the press people are going to be buying it? Or, average consumers?

Yep. Just like they don’t allow “offensive” stuff in the music store, the tv app, iTunes video store, podcasts, etc.
Oh, wait. ...

They only allow specific kinds of offensive content.

Your comment is the exact reason why they prioritize these other things. If someone is replacing a 9 year old computer, they aren't the frequent repeat buyer that keeps their company afloat. The same thing for people that got "upset" about the Airport thing, but then went on to talk about how they still love the one they bought in 2007 (and still have no intention of actually replacing).

That said, Apple MAY have an opening here, as DirecTV Now just announced that they are raising prices AGAIN by another $10. That's a lot of very angry consumers.

Oh I totally understand them not updating the iMac annually. I’ve been ready for a new 1 for like 2 or 3 years, but figure I’d wait until a redesign happens. I like that they’re tapping into other industries. The quality of all of Apple’s products are awesome.

They can easily have their hands in many pots.

They should offer a subscription for iTunes movies and tv shows too. That would be good. Won’t happen of course.

Do you think they’ll completely get rid of buying single tracks/movies/episodes?

Any chance we can see some HomeKit updates this month? I want to integrate it into my house but Alexa and Google are so far ahead...

WHATs wrong with a sustainable business and loyal buyers. Even if i buy every ten years a resonably priced deviced. I mean more devices it should be fine for any company to be sucessfully.
Its a recent misinterpretation that You have to buy every year or 3 years - even with phones its not really true / its just a crazy market bubble.

god, I long for the days before people like you and your pessimism came on here...

They're inviting "celebrities" now?

I fear this is going to be the most underwhelming, lackluster, cringe-worthy keynote to date.

I lament for what Apple is turning into. What a 5h!t-show.

Better make that the 20xx Mac Pro.

Not familiar with how Hollyweird works ?

Actors from various new shows always go to "Premiers" or media junkets..

It's in probably every actors contracts in the business and "It's Show Time" is considered one of those.

ohh..there you go...dumb argument..production is different and doing business on someone else content is different. Owning something has to be according to company policies...not the case for letting someone use platform.

Does Apple bundle iTunes match and Apple music; that would make sense? Nope, they don't.
Does Apple bundle iCloud back-up and Apple care; that would make sense? Nope, they don't.
About Music: Yes, they do.
About iCloud back-up: No, that's free for iOS devices.

In what way? Number of compatible devices? Apple has already opened HomeKit up via a firmware update. It’s now up to manufacturers to adopt HomeKit.

As for everything else, I don’t know in which way “Alexa and Google are so far ahead”, HomeKit is far more elegant to set up and manage, it’s far more secure and its scenes and automations do everything I need them to.

Regardless, I don’t think we’ll see HomeKit updates at an Apple TV + Apple News event. WWDC is far more likely.

I wish people would just stop this "Apple can give you this great all you can eat...... etc etc" non-sense.

Apple have come out and said they want to increase revenue through subcsriptions but those wide-eyed fools still believe Apple are going to go for "bundles".

Within 5 years you will also be able to buy a bundle of different providers of your choice. If you want an Apple-Netflix-Amazon bundle there will be options for that. There will also be subscriptions for supermarkets and food delivery apps.

I know I'm probably the minority but until a subscription service offers access to all available music/TV shows/movies/whatever then I'd prefer to just pay one off fees for guaranteed access to the ones I want

You will have options for both and more eventually. The best way for media companies to make money is by giving you a choice of offerings. If you want to own a physical disc, or a digital copy, or a subscription these will all be available.

My best guess is that Apple feels they need to so something in this era of alternative facts. Critics will say that Apple curates news, Apple will say they'll bring the most relevant news (not the fake ones) to you. Why not enriching Apple Music with news and video, calling it Apple Services (for 15 dollars/family/month) and that's their contribution to society?

Would be awesome if Apple surprised us with some unexpected hardware. SE2 based on shrinking the XR would be awesome for a lot of people.

With amount of leaks and rumors which periodically appear on this site I highly doubt that they would be able to keep total silence about SE2. Do not get your hopes high at all.

I bought the 2017 27” iMac for home use and I’ve the iMac pro at work. Both will probably be my last Apple computers because both have been the most problematic machines I’ve ever had. Windows has evolved much harder as MacOS did since 2012. iOS is a joke for real work. So I’m out of options.

What issues did you have with 2017 27" iMac? I have one as well (top basic config) and not a single problem at all.

Yippee! More subscription services! Woohoo! These are the products I'm waiting for!

Can we have an Airpods update please?

Probably not before the year end event alongside new iPhones.

It doesn't make sense to make a new product with a Lightning port, nor does it make sense to release them with USB-C before iPhones transitioned to USB-C.
