Yet Apple (a Megallion $ company) still expects customers to PAY for a Polishing Cloth. Which should be included

.. The lack of strong competition is making Apple lazy..
.. And while they are good at making money the lack of incentive to deliver what customers want created an umbrella/space for competitors to thrive..
Which is it: lack of competition or thriving competition? loyal customers or clueless customers?.. It is a certainty there are over 2 billion people out there that have no inner monologue and zero agency - the type that can't visualize a rotating, red Apple in their mind. These are the kind of customers Apple wants because no matter what happens they stick with the company. It's not a pretty picture but it's realistic and I want this as a shareholder..
comment threads on posts like this will never not be hilarious bc you can tell from 10 miles away who owns AAPL and who doesn’t
genuinely hope that Apple Intelligence matures properly, been fascinating watching beta testing (I know someone who’s on the beta with a 15PM; god those text summaries are hilarious) and it’ll be a boon to the company if it’s successful, for all the naysaying AI gets in this forum—watching gradual adoption of casual ChatGPT use hasn’t been far off from the evolution of “what the **** you bought a watch from Apple?” into every other person having an AW on their wrist in 2024 lmao

Not true.
Apple's Pro Display XDR, which has a special nano-texture display surface, does come with a special polishing cloth.
Are you saying the overwhelming majority of happy and repeat Apple customers are stupid, don't care about quality, and willingly purchase Apple products that fall apart; year after year after year?
I guess that secret of success should be adopted by other tech companies so they too can also hit 4 Tillion dollar valuations.
Not for the Studio Displays though...........................![]()
As a shareholder I want Apple to deliver on AI but I think they lack the institutional constitution to do what is necessary which is why I support changing of the guard. Their privacy stance is getting in the way of my moneycomment threads on posts like this will never not be hilarious bc you can tell from 10 miles away who owns AAPL and who doesn’t

What happens when you spend more on share buy backs than r&d
As a shareholder, customer, observer I want apple to do it right. I’ll sacrifice short term for longer term gain in that vein.As a shareholder I want Apple to deliver on AI but I think they lack the institutional constitution to do what is necessary which is why I support changing of the guard. I'd love for some of the old guard to be shown the door. I do not believe their position is sustainable within their current limitations and it will result in Apple being an also-ran with AI like they were with Siri (which still sucks btw, I had to turn it back off. The betas seem to disappoint in imaginative new ways)As a shareholder, customer, observer I want apple to do it right. I’ll sacrifice short term for longer term gain in that vein.
Shareholder here (personal investments plus 401k). I could not care less about Apple's market cap.
Additionally, they could use this extra money to pay dividends instead of stock-buybacks.
20-Jan-2009 is the tail-end iPod-era 20Y low price.Definite bummer in hindsight.
I bought a wee bit earlier than that date. Got to retire younger than many and have been traveling the world for several years. Very very lucky to say the least.
I hope they up the dividends a bit more than they did the past two years, but I'm not arguing with the overall growth the past five years since I retired. 😀
Go $AAPL
This is by definition a good example of what’s wrong in this world. A small group of greedy people are getting very rich while plundering resources and behaving monopolistic.

Exactly my point. Apple is about the marriage of software and hardware. At present the software is letting the hardware down (one only needs to look to the Mac and iPad for evidence of this). If you're new to the brand it's gotta be amazing. Those of us that have been with Apple since the late 90s see the slow but steady decline.
Won't happen. Cook is Apple's Ballmer.
Every company needs a Ballmer. (Btw I met him in person back in the day)Won't happen. Cook is Apple's Ballmer.
You may want to remove some zeros from that. I’m pretty sure Apple didn’t spend $32 Trillion on anything this year. This year, it is estimated Apple spent $32,000,000,000,000 on R&D. I think they’ve done a bit…
Uh oh can’t prove yourself right, either. Care to cite these “market studies”. Any of them credible?Market studies, loads of them bear out people do not use agency when buying. Simple as. You can't and won't switch to another brand you'd never be able to decoupled yourself from Apple's service offerings. Prove me wrong- you cant
