What’s that NFC chip in the pics? Disabled?
Titanium Apple Card has EMV chip (left to the American Express centurion logo), but not NFC wireless (Wi-Fi like logo right to the centurion logo):

EMV chip lets you complete the transaction by inserting the card into a chip reader. NFC is what Apple Pay uses and some cards have NFC built-in.

haha. Mine rides with other cards. I've never had an apple product that didn't get scratched at some point. Not going to start now.

It does make a startlingly heavy clunk sound when someone drops it. I suppose I could yell at some poor retail minion for potentially scratching my shiny new card, but... no.

Mm. Some fried chicken too.

They are joking right? I don’t care what my credit cards look like. My metal Marriott card has the top layer pealing off and my platinum Amex has part of the logo from another card on it bc I guess somehow they were touching and were damp. There is zero chance I will follow such ridiculous rules for a credit card. I don’t usually show my cards to people.

Good lord, 10 pages about how to clean a credit card. I thought I had seen it all.

Next thing you know people will be returning their credit card because of a defect in the titanium. It came from Apple it should be perfect...

Has anyone come out with a protective cover yet?

How so? What is apple or Goldman Sachs doing to encourage people to spend money they don’t have? Or are you referring to credit cards in general?
Well in general a “credit” card, as the name implies, extends credit in the form of a loan. Whereas a “charge” card like the traditional green American Express card does not.

This is a bit ridiculous. That said, my metal Amazon Prime card is all scratched up from swiping and chip reading but it's dark and doesn't show the scratches all that much, not that I care. If the Apple Card gets all scratched up perhaps it is much more noticeable. But dammit, it's just a credit card, albeit an interesting mesh of physical and virtual.

The Apple Card's magnetic strip is certainly different though. The Prime card has a traditional thin strip but the AC's strip is wider and runs all way to the edge of the card. I haven't seen that before.

Is it true that if I lock the number of the card in the wallet app that I can get a new number without actually requesting a new physical card? That would make sense given there is no number actually printed on the card itself. Cool idea if that actually works.

Will they also offer a custom leather sleeve? Or a proprietary cleaning kit? Will they warn users they can damage their card if they dont use approved cleaning materials? Will the apple store offer approved card cleaning services?

And will they refuse to warranty the card if it has liquid damage? So many important queations!

Is anyone selling a protective case for the apple card yet?
Yes there have been plenty before, but Apple will act like they "Invented" protective cards sleeve, just like they act like they "reinvented the Credit Card"

Introducing, the Apple Card sleeve™ , it doesn't only protect your card, but it is also beautiful, and soon in colors! 99$ for the normal version 199$ for the Pro. The pro just cost more to make you look cooler.
