All the things they could choose to highlight in a commercial about the new Apple TV and they chose Netflix. Wow.
Apple TV is such a missed opportunity and requiring the remote for games is just dumb.

Netflix is an important part of any streaming device. It's quite fine for apple to let customers know that netfilx is on the apple tv. I'm not sure why you don't get this.Every two-bit device has Netflix. How does this make Apple TV stand out?
I've got a few apps that are great and every entertaining. I certainly don't need an xbox. Its probably quite hard to sell an Apple TV as there are not that many apps on it YET and apps are the big thing of the Apple TV
They are quite fine. Some of the dullest ads I've seen from Apple in a long while.
Very silly discussion. What's the point? In theory, yes. In practice, I don't know of any 2-bit machines (as the OPs post said) that can run Netflix.
I can't even begin to understand this statement. And the apple tv4 is just fine.Apple TV is such a missed opportunity and requiring the remote for games is just dumb.
modern version of snakesCrossy Road looks terrible. This is the state of Apple Gaming.

Instead I have to wade through crap apps like calculators, aquariums and even a f*cking menstrual cycle calendar.

That made me chuckle. Unrelated: Cool avatar. Nice Half Life skin for the Apple Watch Charging Dock.Pretty sure a device needs to be at least 32-bit to show Netflix. Heck you really need 8-bits to show even color in any meaningful way.
Required? Most of the games I've seen can use a third party controller. What else are you supposed to use for games?Apple TV is such a missed opportunity and requiring the remote for games is just dumb.
Netflix functionality is a "must have" feature for each TV in the home. It sells hardware. That is Apple's job. Not at all confusing. All the things they could choose to highlight in a commercial about the new Apple TV and they chose Netflix. Wow.
Forget what the others are saying, this was one (bit) hilarious response.Pretty sure a device needs to be at least 32-bit to show Netflix. Heck you really need 8-bits to show even color in any meaningful way.
There's no killer app or game for the Apple TV. Every few days I find myself browsing through all the apps just to find something, anything to justify why I spent $200 for this thing. Instead I have to wade through crap apps like calculators, aquariums and even a f*cking menstrual cycle calendar.
This should have been in the hands of developers at WWDC.
Most games can use 3rd party controllers but can't be required to use them. All games are required to be playable using the remote only. I think that's what the poster is referencing. The one obvious exception to this rule being Guitar Hero Live. Activision actually requires the BT Guitar Controller to play the game on the ATV.Required? A Roku is cheaper, but ATV offers more additional features, especially for anyone already in the AppleSphere-tm.
I disagree, Apple made the right decision, Apple TV will sell like hot cakes because it's for everyone..not just for gamers. Throwing an x-box controller in the box..it's not innovating at all, hopefully in the future the Siri remote will get more features like Force Touch, Touch ID and maybe others so you can get better experience when playing Arkham City.Apple TV is such a missed opportunity and requiring the remote for games is just dumb.
