Can it rotate the front screen with the app icons? The X cannot.
Apple today shared a video focused on the iPhone XS, which is designed to offer up all of the details that you need to know about the new device in just 54 seconds.
The short video runs through all of the features that distinguish the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max from the previous-generation iPhone X.
The video covers notable features like the 5.8 and 6.5-inch screen sizes, A12 Bionic chip, faster Face ID, IP68 water resistance, and more, with a list below.
[*]Biggest screen on an iPhone ever
[*]Super durable all-glass design
[*]More water and dust resistant
[*]Now in Gold
[*]Face ID is even more advanced
[*]Dual cameras are smarter
[*]Depth control
[*]Highest quality video
[*]Smartest and most powerful chip in an iPhone
[*]Faster wireless charging
[*]Gigabit LTE
[*]Wider stereo sound
The video wraps up with the tagline "It's not just one amazing iPhone, it's two.
This is the second quick summary style video that Apple has done, and it follows a two minute video that was published following Apple's event, wrapping up everything that was announced in 108 seconds.
These quick videos offer up a useful way for Apple to share all of the new features in the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max in a short period of time, making them ideal for commercials and use on social media. We may see more of these videos in the future as Apple continues advertising the new 2018 iPhone and Apple Watch models.
Apple's iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max were announced earlier this week, and are now available for pre-order from Apple's online store. Both devices are set to be launched next week, on Friday, September 21.
Update: Apple has also shared a new "Shot on iPhone XS" video highlighting the video-capturing capabilities of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max with a video experiment that uses sound, slo-mo, time-lapse, and 4k video to capture scenes of water, fire, metal and light.

they already had 7.5W, now they will support 15WWhat's with the faster wireless charging? It supports > 7.5W?
Oled can't support more than 90hz for now10W wireless charging is nice.
Apart from the outrageous pricing the only two things I’d like on the next phone are;
-Fast charger included
-120Hz refresh rate
what are you talking about? APple embrace the notch since last year, they didn't hide itInteresting how Apple is hiding the notch with these new Jupiter-oil blotch wallpapers on the more expensive models.
Not too confident of their own design?
Shockingly enough, Mophie released the exact same charger but in a 10w config. It's listed on their page as "the fastest charging available for the new iPhone(s). They also dropped the price of the one that you and I have by 10.00.I wonder what wireless charging devices will take advantage of this. I have a Mophie one right now but I think it maxes out at 7.5w
where did you get the 15w support info from?they already had 7.5W, now they will support 15W

I was talking about the max not XSBecause it is a 5.8 inch tall but narrow screen.
I was discussing with somebody else on how I feel the X screen is too tall and narrow and you quoted me askingwhere did you get the 15w support info from?

Lol I have this exact wallpaper now on my Product Red 8 Plus. Someone had shared it over on 9to5 Mac in the comments section. I must say it’s really quite striking. I don’t usually end up liking and keeping official corporate wallpapers but this one looks good with a red phone. It will look very good with the gold iPhone.Interesting how Apple is hiding the notch with these new Jupiter-oil blotch wallpapers on the more expensive models.

I find it interesting yet not surprising at the amount of hype surrounding the new phones yet, the new 2018 MBP release didn't get any type of event or close to the same hype as they once did.
It's no wonder the Macs were neglected as long as they were. No doubt, Apple is a phone company now.
All of those “refinements” as you prefer to characterize them add up to a nice upgrade. Dual SIM and 512GB especially.I'm sorry, but those are are refinements, not upgrades. I can't think of a year in the history of the iPhone that offered fewer reasons to upgrade from the previous year's model. Even if it's just an "s" year...
The 3Gs doubled speed and introduce video recording. The 4s introduced Siri. The 5s introduced TouchID, the 6s introduced 3D Touch, live photos and doubled RAM. The Xs is just, like I said, a refinement. How many transistors the A12 has or how many operations per second it can perform just isn't that impressive when all it really means is that apps will launch a fraction of a second later. How many people really feel that they push the hardware limits of of the 8/8 Plus/X?
Big thing for me is the IP68 rating. The X was actually a step back from the 7 and 8 in terms of water resistance, if you look at most of the anecdotal evidence.
The X from what I’ve seen seems to be hit or miss with water resistance. I suspect it may have been a QC issue or something. Mine completely died (battery and screen assembly) after less than 5 minutes in less than a foot of water. Several other online tests show the X suffering under conditions which the iPhone 7 survived just fine. Of course there are also tests to the contrary. Either way, this was clearly something they focused on with the XS in order to obtain a better IP rating, and I’m happy to see that.
It doesn’t require a physical change, it’s done by manipulating the stereo information (the difference signal). Just as the stereo soundstage can be collapsed to a single perceived point by only using the mono (L+R) signal, it can also be expanded so that the sound is perceived to be coming from beyond the physical placement of the speakers.SO what actually physically changed from iPhone X to XS to make stereo 'wider'?

Seriously did anyone really think that the new big phone was going to be the same price as last years X? Of course not. And its "only" $100 more. Same as in the past.
I think a lot of this price whining is faux sticker shock. Everyone knew it's was gunna be pricey and here we are today.
I think S series are becoming less and less appealing as they just seem to be a cash milking project, selling last years platform with minor tweaks and new colors.
The real excitement is when true update cycle models are launched.not S series.
I see no reason to replace my iPhone X.
I said replace not upgrade intentionally.
Paying that much for just sone minor tweaks in same case is pointless when if you have the iPhone X,and before you know, the all new XI will be out.
iPhones and all other phones are already packed with features more than a users needs and the trend is moving towards software. Brace yourself for minimal updates to iPhones in the next coming years in terms of new features. It will all be better CPU/Camera and nothing drastic for the next 5-6 years.
Sounds like you’d be happier with the iPhone 7 or 8. They start at $449/599 for the non-Plus models and either would be a significant upgrade from a 6.I want to upgrade from my wife and I launch day iPhone 6 so bad but I just can’t bring myself to justify the price of these new phones. The XR is sorta appealing but honestly I don’t like the direction Apple is going with these phones. I hate that notch and I hate face scanning.
