I haven't tried Airpods on yet, but if they stay in my ears while running or working out, I think I'll get them.
Of all bluetooth earbuds I've tried (about 10) they stay in the best were the most comfortable. Try Earhoox if you want added assurance but they weren't necessary. But I'm really only running and biking with them.
If earpods fit your ears, then you should be golden. I say try them and return them if they don't work for you.

Now you get to charge your phone *and* your headphones! PRACTICALLY MAGIC!
As you do with ALL bluetooth earbuds. Duh.

I freaking love my AirPods. They are always in my pocket whether I'm using them or not always charged and protected by the case and I put them in my ears and listen to music instantly. My Powerbeats I wouldn't keep in my pocket because the case was big bulky and still you run the risk of crushing them. Also when I did decide to use them they were either dead or I had to screw around in the pairing menu or wait for them to pair. I know Apple wasn't first with separate Bluetooth air buds but they are great and super affordable.

My experience with my Airpods:

Me: "Siri, set volume to 50%"
Siri: "I didn't find any results for Mogloom 50 cent"

ayTii5e.jpg

But I do love my Airpods they're great. Siri needs work but the Airpods are an excellent product. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I'm looking forward to the next version already.

People must be buying them, the stores are always sold out. Your statement must be false news.
My statement wasn't news, so the news about it being false must be false news.

I never said that they weren't popular or good. These ads have been out for a few hours, so even if Apple let you look at the sales data, you wouldn't be able to see the increase in sales.

Thats been my experience with Siri since I've come back to iOS on an iPhone 7Plus after a few months on Android phones. I would need to test it on my SE to see if it's a mic sensitivity problem on the water resistant iPhone 7 vs SE or an iOS issue. I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I just know I'm not getting the results I'm used to getting with Siri and my very clear voice and precise diction.

I've had no problems with Alexa in Echo or Google Assistant via Allo on my HTC 10.

Siri worked very well for me on my iPhone 6sPlus on iOS 9. It's now with my sister-in-law so I can't test it on iOS 10. I'm going to charge up my SE and see how things go. I have a hard time believing it would be iOS 10. I can't believe they could or would make Siri more frustrating.

Let's just save everyone the trouble:
1. These are not features I want
2. Tim Cook must go
3. Apple is going downhill with useless products and no innovation.
etc, etc

Imagine if we start every thread this way, we could save a lot of unnecessary posting. Feel free to add your favorite message is despair and apple hate.

These are good ads. I love my airpods. If I was looking to buy the airpods, these ads would certain encourage me to do so. In general Apple ads are terrific.
Yeah, like I said the ads are good but they don't have the wow factor. That is important for people that might have never heard of the product or know about the features.

Apple ads aren't what they used to be, partly because of the change in the marketing team, and partly because so many are made now. But they are still really good ads. These ads would be amazing when AirPods are more established.

A lot of black people in the ads, but not in the top management of Apple.
My husband works in the tech industry on the east coast and it has been hard to find both female (of just about any race) and minority male recruits, though oddly enough not terribly hard to find black women technologists. His mentor and dear friend was a black woman. (She passed away many years ago). From what I can see around me a lot of technically inclined minority men and women are drawn to the healthcare sector, with its good balance of decent wages and flexible hours for free time and family care. I'm not sure what it's like out where Apple HQ is located.

Wow, I found myself surprised by how much I liked those ads. They were reminiscent of the dancing silhouette iPod ads but with added surrealism, which I always dig. Not only is the gravity defying dancing cool, but it's a fantastic way to visually convey how unreal it seems to use such small earphones that pair effortlessly.

His expression during the fourth wall break… I can only imagine what he was thinking. :D

The first was my favorite. What a fantastic way to visually convey how unreal it seems to use such small earphones that pair effortlessly.
It's been awhile since Apple has had ads I liked. Or music. I had liked the song "Closer" for the Google Pixel and "Turn it Around" by Lucius for the Galaxy S7. I was wondering not long ago if Apple would come out with an attention grabbing song in any of its ads anytime soon.

I love the footwork. I wish I were still young and could still dance like this without looking ridiculous. Of course, at no time in my youth could I ever dance up a wall. However, I could drive my friends and family up a wall. Actually, I still can. ;) :D

You have Apple's airpods? "Everyone's talking about them and I've seen them in that cool ads! They look great!"
You have some (maybe better) fully bluetooth earphones you have to click on to join conversations? People will think you're hearing impaired.
For things you wear, marketing is the key.
I don't love this ads but... damn, the put some effort in this.

Do you know about a new technology we don't know about?

Please share....

All mobile/wireless things need to be charged.

Or you can use the wired headphones that still suck battery out of your iPhone which you'll also have to charge.

In between a rock and a hard place
These are so good that will actually push the song's sales.
That happens from time. Happened with Kiiara "Gold" - Apple Watch, Alex Clare "Too Close" - MS Internet Explorer 9, X Ambassasdors "Jungle" - Beats World Cup. I'm sure there are many more, but it's a pretty effective way to get your music out there.

The 15 second clips seemed disjointed at first. Then I saw the full 1 minute ad. That was much better, more cohesive, and brought clarity to the 15 second clips. I like the song too.

Actually, the airpods are really the kind of product that got everyone to love Apple in the first place.
But you have to admit for other products the magical Apple coherence is missing. A pencil that has to stick out sideways to charge, a new iPhone that can't charge from the latest MacBooks, MagSafe gone, glowing Apple logos, lack of Siri progress etc. Little things that summed up to something that is a pleasure to use.

Not enough attention to how it all fits together. Not the old Apple, suggests leadership attention is/was elsewhere. The joy of these airpods should make that clear. Unfortunately an exception that proves the rule.

Apple needs more airpods.

What up, 212?!

I was afraid of that - no Apple headphones ever stayed in my ears and that's just sitting down. I'm looking at the Powerbeats2 right now.
