People must be buying them, the stores are always sold out. Your statement must be false news.

That is false logic (assuming that by "people", you are implying a large number as opposed to literally two people or more). My own experience:

1) I love my AirPods - brilliant!
2) I have been critical of many other Apple products of late, and rightly so, in my opinion. I see in these replies alone so many binary posts - Apple haters or lovers etc. I criticise where I think it is due, and similarly praise where I think it is due.
3) As for stores being sold out... I bought mine on 19th Dec (the release date, I think) in Sydney at 9:11 am. I got the penultimate pair. Why? Because they clearly only had about 20 to 30 pairs to begin with. It is not the same thing at all as stocking stores properly and finding it is "always sold out." The guy in the store said it could well be days or weeks before they saw any more stock. Marketing hype? Pathetic inability to sort supply logistics? A sprinkle of both? Take your pick, but don't believe blindly the hype, please!

Great ads. The only quibble I have is with giving the impression they have active noise cancellation. They do not. Depending on how they fit your ears, you may get some level of ambient noise isolation, but they clearly are intended to let you still hear your surroundings. So, while I won't use my AirPods on a airliner, they are perfect for casual use around the house, walking, hiking, etc.

In this YouTube video:

there had to have been special effects to keep the AirPods in his ears.
Nope. None at all. No special effects whatsoever. Unbeknownst to most, Apple borrowed some very experimental Selective Artificial Rotation Corrected Azimuth Shifted Manual Gravity shoes from our good friends at DARPA. One of the beneficial effects of the localized gravity field is a peculiar anomaly called polar charged differential adhesion. In layman's terms, the feet have a positive charge and it's polar opposite (the head) has a negative charge. The AirPods hold their place because they are essentially part of the head.

I keep hearing an AirPods and iPhone 7 association.
I am "assuming" that they work with any iPhone, especially those who can run iOS 10.

If they stay connected better then my Bose QC35, I will be happy. They dropped Bluetooth from iPhone just before my last flight and I tried to play something. Let's just half the dimmed cabin started hearing my podcast. Not the best of experiences..

well... imo ANY product that hurts me when wearing it, is basically garbage... specially if it hurts after 30 minutes, which is a short time when it come to headphones.

I get how apple stuff is supposed to be cool and all (not lately though)... but for the price of these things, you can get much better headphones. Don't get used to the pain... get better ones.

I can leave my Airpods in my ears for hours on end (even when I am not listening to anything) and not feel a thing. No pain, no discomfort, nothing.

I am increasingly convinced that the Airpods are the earphones for me. Light, comfortable, ultra-portable, long battery life, ease of pairing and switching. The best sound quality in a pair of headphones is moot if they are a pain to use and carry around.

Let's just save everyone the trouble:
1. These are not features I want
2. Tim Cook must go
3. Apple is going downhill with useless products and no innovation.
etc, etc

These are good ads. I love my airpods. If I was looking to buy the airpods, these ads would certain encourage me to do so. In general Apple ads are terrific.

As long as you agree on the first two, I think most Apple consumers will be happy (those of us who still have Apple stuff).

I think the airpods are dope, and the pairing simplification is definitely setting the bar.

In regard to the ads, the Airpod ads are meh at best. And do you really think it's a good idea to highlight siri, it should have been more realistic and say "looking up info on play Marian Hill"

The Apple watch ad isn't bad, good colours and I thought it could connect well with people.

Your example is familiar and embarrassing. Even with a stable BT connection it's still possible to get things mixed up and share your audio unintentionally.

It's been around for years, but AirPods are going to be introducing a whole lot of people to Bluetooth audio and encouraging others to use it more often, so I'm hoping Apple continues to make using BT more and more foolproof.

I'd love to see an option in iOS that disables ALL audio playback on the internal speakers and only allows it over a connected BT or wired device.

I think apple might be trying to get one up on Bose here. They are showing how pairing is so easy compared to the Bose ones and how that's apple magic! Apple are too classy to refer to Bose but the dancing is similar and ad has a similar feel imo.

this ad makes apple look really cheap for copying, plus they actually emptired the streets in the bose ad

As a musician I appreciate that the Notes on the staff are correct in the Notes Ad. In the key of Eb Major or C Minor.

what do you mean by too classy? they clearly stole the idea from the Bose video (nothing classy about that), apple doesn't know how to market the airpods.

I know they are proud of the user-friendly and neat-o pairing process, but to make an ad for it?

Apple.txt lol

I still can't help but feel like I'm wearing white earrings with the AirPods in though.

We actually need beautiful ad imagery now, to offset the effects of ubiquitous shares like this guy's...

Beautiful ad imagery doesn't help to tell people about the product. I think that's a key part of advertising a product that was released just a few weeks ago, as not everybody will know about them.

AirPods: they don´t fall... like the guy in the ad., and what is it with the Practically Magic phrase, doesn't´t fit Apple business company anymore.

The AirPods, while not prefect, are everything I want in wireless headphones and am excited to see how they'll improve in the future.

And if you watched any of the NFL games today, Ford "shared" their cute little video of their F-150 trucks!

How nice of them, and Apple!

They are sweat-proof, at least in reality, if not in warranty. Several bloggers, YouTubers, and other reviewers have intentionally and accidentally run them through the washing machine without issue. They've been submerged in water without issue.

I've been running in mine for more than a week, and three of those days I got rained on. Thursday night I got caught in a (cold) downpour for the last 3 miles. I left my iPhone 6 in the car each time, but I didn't hesitate to run with my AirPods and Apple Watch Series 2. The AirPods and the Apple Watch make a perfect team in the rain.

I got this combo too, but I thought sweat differed from water (sticky, etc). Good to know, thank you. :)
