Does not removing one airpod stop the music?
She never removed the AirPod. Keep up.

I know when I take one out it stops. I didn't know you could then stick one in someone else's ear and have the music play for both people.
You absolutely can. My wife and I do this for sharing music/podcasts when hiking or running together.

Obviously, you have no idea what you’re talking about!
Auto tune has different effects! It doesn’t have to sound like Cher’s Believe haha
Plug in some good headphones and listen to it again. Auto tune is not about being able to sing or not lol It’s also about producing vocals and vocal arrangements. This particular vocal effect on his voice has been overdone to death by now! I don’t care about his singing abilities. My post was not even about it. I couldn’t care less about him personally. Speaking of good singers, there are millions more out there who are way better singers than Smith btw. They’re not as hip though due to the fact that Sammy comes from a very rich British family. So singing abilities couldn’t be more irrelevant nowadays haha
I listened on good headphones. All I can pick out is some subtle reverb, which…absolutely isn’t autotune. He hasn’t performed “Palace” live in any video I can find easily, but beyond that, I’ve no reason to believe that it’s much different from his real voice, from other live performances of his that I’ve seen.

You’ll also notice I never said that Sam Smith is the best singer ever (again, not a fan), because he’s not. I simply said that he can sing the song he released, which frankly is all I care about in appreciating an artist. You’re arguing against a point I never made.

Goodness, someone’s defensive. What did Sam Smith do to you?

As a commercial, well done, but also way to long. Today's viewers probably wont pay attention to the whole thing, they will get bored and move on to something else.

Feels like an echo of the idea behind the movie La La Land.

Either way, it wasn’t good in my opinion. Didn’t make an emotional connection. So g wad t great. Did t feel like holiday-more like “missed connections” section on Craig’s list.
Be careful “the real creative types” on here will criticize you for making obvious conclusions. But I totally agree. Terrible story that doesn’t evoke any sense of consumerism or “holiday spirit”.

Yeah people are so put off by them they are flying off the shelves since they came out.
Only proves that Apple customers don’t have good taste whatsoever haha
I just bought a X, so not a hater here lol
But I’d never buy those AirPods. Every time I see them in public I either roll my eyes or laugh. They do look ugly!

Worst Holiday add ever. Sooooo unhygienic. Just plain gross.

This is not a holiday ad. Remove the slogan, and this is just a generic iPhone ad during which it happens to be cold outside.

.....an iPhone X working in the cold no less. Must be on 11.1.2.3.4.5? ;)

The AirPod does not know it was stuck in someone else's ear. It only knows that the sensor was triggered to start playing again. Kinda like my daughters' iPhones don't know the difference between their fingerprints and mine or my wife's.
Uhh, they definitely do know the difference between their fingerprints and yours. Unless your family all has fingerprints so close to identical that Touch ID assumes they’re the same (a chance of 1:50,000). My statistics is a bit rusty, but quick math suggests that there is a 0.00000004% chance of that being true for both you and your wife. Fingerprints also aren’t genetically inherited so…yeah.

A more likely explanation is that your fingerprint(s) have been enrolled in Touch ID. The iPhone can assuredly tell the difference between the prints (it will highlight which enrolled finger, if any, is on the sensor in Settings > Touch ID & Passcode), but it will allow your print to unlock the phone.

Can we just pretend you didn't type this? Otherwise, that would mean you actually thought I meant Touch ID couldn't differentiate between a registered and unregistered fingerprint. I'm going to give you more credit than that. Either that or you were just yanking my chain. I'm going with you yanking my chain.:p

You're making it hard to give you credit. Yes, my fp and my wife's fp are registered in our daughters' phones. The iPhone most assuredly does NOT know which print belongs to me, my wife, or my daughter. The iPhone recognizes that the finger on sensor has an algorithm that matches one of the algorithms registered in it's Secure Enclave. The phone has no idea who the person is. Just like AirPods have no idea who's using them.

Still not as clever or interesting as Samsung's "Growing Up" ad. Samsung hasn't grown up from attacking Apple. The best ads or rap songs comes with offense.

Sega did it to Nintendo. Samsung continues to do it to Apple. I felt like I was watching a boring Ed Sheeran music video like "Thinking Out Loud".

Lol. Sharing of the AirPods. Did that last year when the AirPods first came out with the stripper.

Nothing like getting it with your Spotify playlist.

Best champagne room experience. Lol

Has anyone noticed that Apple hid the notch on the Apple Music screen. Apple Music is normally white all the way to the top. Having said that iPhone X and Airpods are where it’s at!

I want Apple to continue to attack Android to fire up Google. They can use the negativity to motivate themselves and turn it into a positive. The best and most memorable ads during election season is when candidates attack each other.

Very nice ad. Beautifully shot and creative. I like that is not so in-your-face about the product. I agree with the idea, that you don’t need an elf or Christmas tree to get the holiday vibe.
