Also got an arrival scan in Anchorage! 12/1 9:20pm, and I now have an official scheduled delivery date of 12/7! I do hope we get it before then!

@Gnattu I do wonder what flight it was, could be the Nippon Cargo?
It is hard for me to guess, because the arrival scan is in "the future".
It's only around 8pm in Alaska right now but the arrival scan was 9:20pm

Weird. Very very weird. I really want to be happy about landing in Alaska but the 11/29 departure group's premature departure scan now has me distrusful of UPS tracking. However, as @jdcohnsf pointed out, many things are different now. Customs are cleared, exception is gone, officially have a scheduled delivery date from UPS, etc.

#ShanghaiGang: "The Americans"

Looking forward, we have two options for flights out of Anchorage to Lousiville:

If the flight landed when the update actually came, which is about 8pm AKST, we could easily make flight UPS71. If, for some reason, it doesn't actually land until 9:20pm, or UPS71 is too full, UPS2997 is a better hope.

Will the "pre-scan" when the package is still in the air? Sounds unprofessional for me.

Perhaps this is a good time to think about the cargo workers in Shanghai who got sick with the virus and all the thousands of people at the airport who were herded together to be tested. All while we worried about our Macbook orders from the comfort of our homes. But then in these unusual times, our various electronic devices have become our lifeline. Anyway thanks to everyone at Apple, UPS, Shanghai airport, customs, chartered cargo plane, etc who made it possible for our M1 Macs to get this far and hopefully to our doorsteps in the next few days. A bit of late Thanksgiving cheer.

At least with people flying to the US from Canada, US customs actually has personnel on the ground in Canada. Perhaps US customs has outposts in China because of all the imports from China.

Hopefully that’s good enough. Lol.

Don't worry, I was only joking. I'm not going to force you to share my opinions or praise Apple's handling of the situation.

Thank you for this! We have been extremely privileged to watch this package (and complain about it ungratefully) from the comfort of our homes. I hope I am speaking for everyone in #ShanghaiGang when I offer my best wishes to everyone who got sick in Shanghai and the essential workers who are risking their health to continue to keep our supply chain intact during this critical time. Often, the cargo teams in Shanghai will be handling packages much more important than our computers, things like PPE and medical equipment, and in the near future, vaccines. In addition, a major recognition to public health officials in Shanghai who got a huge number of people tested over the span of one weekend, an impressive feat compared to the long wait times for tests in the United States. And of course, thanks to Apple for chartering the cargo plane and the charter cargo company and employees (whichever one that may be....). Happy holidays #ShanghaiGang! I hope you receive your Macs soon.

Edit: grammar/clarity

Same here. Does that mean the plane is flying straight away on to Louisville?
There is no PVG-SDF flights.
I have absolutely no clue which flight was the carter, and why we have scanning in the future.

Hmm, if our packages were on the Nippon Cargo flight, the same flight is scheduled to take off to Chicago ORD 9:15PM. However, Flightradar24 says that flight is delayed - so the details aren't exactly lining up. It'd also be a very interesting decision to route it through ORD instead.

What if the charter flight doesn't show up on any flight tracking websites at all?
