That is totally ok, it does feel better to see Dec 23rd vs Dec 30th thoughI doubt it. You have just put yourself in the back of the line again.

Unfortunately, there is only one Apple store in my entire state and it is closed due to COVID. So no local pickup.Well, this morning on a whim I checked the Apple online store and found a MBA M1 w/ upgraded CPU, 16GB, 1TB available for pickup tomorrow. I cancelled my online order, and will be picking it up locally tomorrow. My condolences to the Shanghai crew and others with their unit trapped in transit hell. 😔
[Edit] to be clear, my online order was still in "Processing"
I think it will be later than that though. I put in my order for a 256 GB SSD + 16 GB RAM MBA M1 on 11/21 and Apple initially stated ETA: 12/16 - 12/23. Then, they changed it to 12/21 - 12/29. So, I think the same will happen to you and you might end up with an ETA in January. That is totally ok, it does feel better to see Dec 23rd vs Dec 30th though![]()
#ShanghaiGang Apple just confirmed to me that my shipment in Shanghai has been declared as lost and they are shipping another...with a Jan 4 delivery date (original date was Dec 1, same as yours). :-(#ShanghaiGang Another shanghai gang member here. Ordered on 11/11, Shipped on 11/20 and has been stuck in Shanghai ever since. Estimated delivery date was originally 12/1. Not only am I without a computer atm, I also leave the country for a few months in a few weeks so this is truly a nightmare for me. Hopefully this resolves itself soon.
Jan 4 would be a problem for me.#ShanghaiGang Apple just confirmed to me that my shipment in Shanghai has been declared as lost and they are shipping another...with a Jan 4 delivery date (original date was Dec 1, same as yours). :-(
I hope that they haven't "lost" a whole container and that your machine isn't in the same shipment. Mine also shipped on 11/20, and never seems to have left Shanghai...stuck on "Clearance in Progress".
Look out for a bunch of M1 Macs on the Chinese equivalent of CraigsList. ;-)

That's what they told me yesterday. I doubt it as well. With more of you getting new shipments I ended up contacting Apple and they still say mine will be here Tuesday.. despite my tracking matching everyone else’s tracking. I doubt it!
At least Apple is aware of this issue and started investigation now, which is great. That's what they told me yesterday. I doubt it as well.

The same just happened to me. My arrival state moved from Dec 1 to Jan 4....basically just the same if I had just ordered the machine today. I'm not happy.Got Apple on the phone this afternoon, explained the situation (Shanghai, UPS) and was told it was a widespread issue and an investigation had already been opened. About an hour later I got an email stating that my shipment “was not delivered by our carrier.” They say a replacement will be sent as soon as possible and I’ll be notified when it ships. So, no clue on when (Apple Store app still says Dec 22), but they said it typically happens within 24 hours. The wait continues.
Which machine and specification? My MBA 7-core/16GB/512GB shipment was lost in transit and re-ordered by Apple yesterday, and I got a delivery estimate of January 4. It looks like any upgrade with 16GB RAM has a delay of 5 weeks.Ordered from Amazon yesterday, said no stock until Dec 7, maybe I'm lucky?

What was your shipping date? I just received a message from Apple that my order (shipped 11/19 in Shanghai) has been declared as lost and there are sending me a new unit (still processing) with delivery estimate of Jan 4.I called apple, because i am part of the Shanghai team and they confirm to me that everything looks great (even when UPS claims IN TRANSIT - DELAY) and i will have it this Tuesday. So lets see...
Agreed. I keep checking stores in the area but it seems all those available for pickup only have 8GB RAM. I could live with a bigger/smaller hard drive, but considering I’m upgrading from a 2013 MBP that’s not factor I’m willing to compromise on. Not much else I can do though except hope they try and make it right somehow. The same just happened to me.
