What was your shipping date? I just received a message from Apple that my order (shipped 11/19 in Shanghai) has been declared as lost and there are sending me a new unit (still processing) with delivery estimate of Jan 4.

I had hoped that Apple would have a few extra units to send to people who have shipping problems that could be sent out immediately, rather than having to go to the back of the queue. Who knows how long I will stuck in "processing" now....
Hoping we get a little relief and that’s why new order ship dates are late Dec/early Jan. But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just departed anchorage on flight FDX5012, have the corresponding scan on my tracking info. I'll be in Memphis tonight at 2am ET. Memphis is a one hour flight away. Looks like there is a flight from Memphis to Charlotte (my city) Sunday at 4:30pm ET so that gives it plenty of time to get on a truck for delivery Monday. I can't believe it!

I ordered my M1 Macbook Pro 16/2TB on Nov 11th, received the shipping notification email from Apple on Nov 25th (Happy Turkey Day!) - no Bank charges on a Holiday? - the $ was taken from my account around 1:30am on the 26th.

The original 1st FedEx estimated delivery was Dec 7th, and right now on Nov 28th the FedEx estimated delivery is Dec 2nd by 12 noon.

The Macbook Pro is sitting in a FedEx sorting facility about 15 min from me right now and arrived there about 12 hours ago...

FedEx has been doing an amazing job by delivering 2-3 days early for China shipments for the past six+ months so I am hopeful that at least the Dec 2nd date will happen.

Ordered a MBP 16/1TB on Nov 11.

Says arrives Nov 27 - Dec 4 but it’s still in processing.

The message changed from “we have everything we need blah blah blah” to “As soon as the item is ready, we’ll send you an update.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ordered at 2020/11/11.

I was happy when I saw my order - 13-inch MacBook Pro (2020) will arrive on 2020/12/1 until my package began to stuck in Shanghai for who-know-why-and-who-know-how-many-days..

Anyway, the status shows on Apple.com still says that my order will arrive on 12/1. Finger cross!

Agreed. I keep checking stores in the area but it seems all those available for pickup only have 8GB RAM. I could live with a bigger/smaller hard drive, but considering I’m upgrading from a 2013 MBP that’s not factor I’m willing to compromise on. Not much else I can do though except hope they try and make it right somehow.
I did briefly consider cancelling my order and getting an 8GB machine, but I figured that living with a month's delay will be easier than feeling I compromised my choice for the life of the machine. Considering the recipient of this machine will probably use it for the next 5-8 years or however long it lasts, I wanted to have a bit a leeway by getting 16GB RAM to allow for future software memory requirements.

It's disappointing and frustrating, but I suppose it will be quickly forgotten once we have the machine.

Short term pain for long term gain! Good perspective!

I hope it works out for you. My delivery went one day earlier 11/19 and got stuck in Shanghai....and has now just been declared lost. Apple are sending another one, with over a month's delay (I ordered a 16GB MBA). My arrival date on Apple.com went from 12/1 like you to 1/4...next year :-(

I'm just hoping that UPS will find the package in Shanghai and get it to Canada by Christmas...but even if this happens I don't know whether the order has been cancelled and they'll just return it to an Apple warehouse in China.

Small world!!

That's what they said for me too, there are more flights to Memphis tonight, I honestly think it makes no sense for them to sit on the package for 4 days but we'll see. Really hoping for Monday.

just arrived in Memphis, a one hour flight away from me! Welcome to the east coast Maccy!

edit: 14.5 more hours until it's in my city and I can breathe a massive sigh of relief, though I'm already soooo relieved to be in the right coast and so close! They could literally put it on a truck and drive, it would arrive in 8 hours. 😆

Yeah this is my question. If UPS does become operational again at PVG in Shanghai whether or not those that have already been declared lost will still get that package or if Apple has them cancelled and routed back.
