UPS91 (formerly UPS90) just took off from Shanghai but no status update to my package. Fingers crossed for whatever UPS10 becomes (which is also in theory a much larger aircraft).
Where’s your package going to? USA or Europe? I’m still waiting for my status to update but nothing happens...
My package is supposed to go to Germany.

They probably won’t schedule a delivery till it’s on the delivery truck. If they really did land in Anchorage and are going to Louisville it’s very much possible we could have them tomorrow, or at they very latest sometime this week.
However, UPS scheduled a delivery date back at the beginning of the shipping process. If the packages really have left Shanghai, it seems as if they would be just as capable of estimating a delivery date as they did at the beginning of this process. I have packages all the time from UPS where delivery date changes over time - both earlier and later. Or have the circumstances of these particular packages (due to the specific COVID issues in Shanghai recently) placed them outside the parameters of the delivery management software used by UPS to schedule delivery? I have delayed calling Apple back about investigation of this package with UPS hoping that these new developmenbts might pan out. But if I have not heard anything new from either UPS or Apple by tomorrow morning, I will call Apple again.

Received a message from Apple saying I won't get my MBP tomorrow as expected, the DHL tracking sucks ass ... everything's fine ...

Well my MacMini has shipped. Hooray! But Apples estimated “by 12/8” is later than UPS’ earlier date (which is several days earlier). Anyone have any experience as to whether UPS really know better? I’ve got my dual monitors set up and ready to go:D

Mine didn't update immediately after takeoff yesterday, but yeah hopefully before both flights land again you all get a new scan. Not having any scan at all feels bad.

Edit: UPS11 just took off 🤞

Hey hey, my order status has changed! 🙂

I was expecting to wait ages. Maybe a quicker delivery.

What does the below mean though? Is it “...Shipped - but will be sitting in a warehouse in the UK for ages, to then be sent to me at the correct date, 3 weeks away?!...”

Hope you can advise

My experience so far:
- Ordered Nov. 13th
- Marked as shipped Nov. 21st
- Expected delivery Dec. 1st (but won't happen since I got a message from Apple)
So yeah you can expect your order to sit in the shipped status for quite some time but probably sooner than the initial delivery date.

No. apple gives that date as a cushion in case of a delay. When I ordered my Magic Mouse 2 a couple weeks ago, it said it would be here the 24th. It arrived the 17th.

@neworbit99 @Gnattu @mooshhie @Kalae @rtsaws #ShanghaiGang1 and ViceGnattu:

As of 5:11 AM Shanghai Time, both UPS91 (to KIX) and UPS11 (to ICN) have taken off and departed Shanghai. Unfortunately, I did not receive any updates on my tracking. How much longer are we going to be stuck in Shanghai even though we were some of the earliest to ship before the facility closed down - we shipped on Friday and just missed the outgoing Friday flight to Anchorage.

How long did it take between takeoff and the tracking update saying you had departed Shanghai?

Thanks for the quick reply! 😊

Anything is a bonus, but knowing the lie of the land is good though!

I only checked right when it took off (nothing) and happened to look again closer to landing in Tokyo and saw there was an update.
The pessimist in me wants to remind us all that it could all be coincidence and #TheDeparted might have never left Shanghai for all we know - but I think it's all going to work out 🙂

I don't see any update from UPS tracking either. Looks like the two UPS flights have now departed Shanghai and we are not seeing any update :(

I really wish to remain optimistic, because as @Kalae says, it takes a while between takeoff and a tracking update for departure.
