Has anybody of the Shanghai People received this mysterious Mail from UPS:

The status of your package has changed.

Exception Reason: Apple volume at origin pending departure on Charter Aircraft as scheduled.

This is my status. Updated about 15 minutes ago. What the hell UPS. Where is my package??

I just got a new entry in UPS My Choice: Shanghai, CN 12/01/20 7:53 PM Package is delayed in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled. Since “shipping” on 11/21, package has not moved from its origin in Shanghai for 10 days now. 😦
Just noticed that GHalstead was writing similar message at same time.

Not via mail but yes, same status here (see my previous post)
 
I ordered the base MBA 8/256 in Space Gray from Costco online on Saturday. Originally listed shipping date of 12/16. However got notice it is now expected 12/2 (although that might slip a day or so)!

I went for it from Costco because it was $949 instead of $999 and also I get 4% back (2% Card and 2% Costco Executive), get a 4 year warranty (Costco doubles warranty and Card doubles that) plus 90 day return policy.

Yes. I just got it too a couple minutes ago.
 
Now have a 12/1 scan at 7:53 that just replaced the prior scan but nothing indicating stateside or progress. And I didn’t even get any of the above cryptic messages. Frustrating.

I have 12/01 delayed in transit entry but not the weird Apple Volume message. I mentioned earlier that the tracking record had moved from Nov 27 to Dec 07 in UPS My Choice. Just noticed that the record is marked “Date Tentative” but Scheduled delivery is still “Information Unavailable”. P.S. And record just switched to Exception status.

Mine just switched to exception as well.

The message i believe indicates that there is a chartered flight booked to handle packages sent by Apple and they are waiting to be loaded when it gets there.

That’s what I’m piecing together from what I’m seeing online. They’re getting a charter/express flight for our packages but are waiting on the plane.

If that is true, I guess my package will not be on the charter since I do not have that message. 😥
 
Just spoke to Apple and apparently the request for UPS to investigate delays for my package (based on my call on 11/28) has not been resolved and I will need to wait another day or two to hear back. So if I will need to receive a replacement at some point I am moving further and further back in the queue. The good news is that end date for Apple Care will be moved based on delivery.

I have enrolled in and it shows a totally different page for me
It even says the initial date.
