I got an update this morning. A new scan for 12/01 at 7:54PM with the same message as previous scan. It does show the date being 12/03, instead of 11/23 (like before) for delivery, but still have exception and information unavailable.
From the UPS app, I don’t see any messages about Apple and didn’t receive any emails.

I'm glad you're getting your mac early. I ordered the exact same configuration a week earlier (11/13), and still has not charged or shipped yet!MBP 16GB/1TB
Destination: Poland
Ordered: 20/11
Original delivery window: 15-22 Dec
Card charged: 26/09 (the charge is still a pending one)
Preparing to ship: 30/11
Shipped: 01/12
Now it says it’s going to arrive on 10th. Given UPS not losing it, probably earlier.

That is what it means. They shipped the launch day iPhones on air China this year and that is the message most received when their phones shipped.
Mine shipped on 11/20 and I received the email around 7am EST. My UPS app changed from exception to in transit with a delivery of 12/7 at the same time of the email. Now however its back to exception but still with the 12/7 date.
Mine is at destination sort facility with scheduled delivery 12/4. So not getting it today I guess.I’m supposedly getting mine delivered today... usually I’d expect to see something like “out for delivery” or something by now but still says it’s at my local FedEx facility

I don't have that message either. I did get an update on 12/1, 7:54pm, Shanghai, my package is delayed in transit.
My my choice estimated date was pushed back to 12/7 as well. How come even with all these flights to and from Shanghai now, ours weren't able to make it out? And what happened to "The Departed?"
Lot of them received the email saying there will be an Apple Charter flight.
But not all of them. Everyone here has the exception I believe.
Did you click send updates in UPS? Maybe only those who did got the email sent.
Same. They’re obviously gonna process the due packages first, but I imagine we might get it a day or two early.
I finally find away to get into a more detailed view and can confirm my exception reason is waiting for Charter Aircraft.

Ordered a 2020 M1 MBP 16GB/2TB on Nov 11, it finally arrived at my local FedEx facility (about 30 min drive) on Nov 27 at 7:50AM. The entire time it’s been listed as Scheduled Delivery on Dec 1 by Noon, and I’m still not seeing any update other than it’s still at my local facility. So maddening.
Thanks for that link! I also see that the status is pending departure on Charter Aircraft. I wonder if we can find the charter flight number, and where do you think the charter flight will fly? Anchorage? Louisville?
It might not even be a UPS Flight, which will be harder to search.
China Cargo Airlines has multiple 747s on ground in PVG right now, it could be one of these.
Would be nice to know when and where mine is shipping from. still processing and delivery date is listed as December 2nd - 9th. Doubt I'm getting it tomorrow.
#ShanghaiGang sigh...:/ this is the update I woke up to. I’m going to call apple today because my scheduled delivery date is today and apple hasn’t updated or emailed once about a delay.
