There's nothing happening tomorrow.

...apple will have their cell phone be available to more carriers besides just AT&T, and maybe for less, and it will somehow be able to sync with windows xp and windows vista
i know my post is very close to the announcement, and my guess will underwhelm, compared to what's already speculated
but here is my guess:

that's all, but it will be big, in some sense, (behind the scenes, though)

I don't think that they would have more carriers than just cingular after they already said that it would be exclusive to cingular. Haven't they already said that it will be able to sync with Windows.
They may release a new version of iTunes to add Vista support tomorrow though.
a) There isn't going to be any announcement tomorrow (or if there is, it will be happening without any advance notice).
b) Apple's already got a long-term exclusive agreement in place with AT&T, so this is unlikely.
c) The iPhone will use iTunes for synching; this is already known, and it's already known that it will synch just fine with XP and Vista. It's not going to be a Mac-only thing.
There's nothing happening tomorrow.

so what is your guess?
I doubt that, this rumor has been out for so long.
Do you find reading difficult?
After much deliberation and concern for the authenticity of tomorrow's purported Apple event, including Apple's recent transition from a computing company to a lifestyle company, I have consulted with leading futurologists and now make the following predictions for February 20, 2007:
* iPod cases in leather AND vinyl
* Portable iPod Hi-Fi
* Multicolor current generation iPods, including an 80GB (Product)
* New hockey-puck Bluetooth iMouse, kicking off a retro-technology trend
* All iPods currently shipping will once again include an AC charger
* Vista now works with Boot Camp
* A revised ski jacket with iPod dock connector
* Partridge in a pear tree that plays music through an iPod universal dock
anything will do... something to take the edge away from waiting for leopard and iLife 07
anything...![]()
i just hope something happens tomorrow....anything....![]()
so what is your guess?
Apple will come out tomorrow, and say:
"Well guys, we gave it our best shot.
But, we've been beat in the market over, and over, and over again. Sometimes a better product isn't enough (remember the BeOS?). Microsoft just keeps winning. So, we quit. That's it.
I'm tired of the constant battle. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So, starting today, we're moving forward. Looking towards the future and acknowledging the way things are moving.
We want to be where things are going, not where they've been (remember that one). So, starting today, we will be selling PC's. The Mac OS has served it's usefulness. It's time to accept reality and move on.
We've signed a treaty with Microsoft, and in exchange for the right to install Windows on every Mac for $1 per license, we've signed-over rights to all our OS X intellectual properties. This will lead to a better Windows for everyone, and enable us to focus on selling machines instead of an OS that the majority won't buy.
Thank you all for your support over the years. But, we know when it's time to accept the fact and move on.
Many of you may remember the last time I opened my mouth and said:
"If I were running Apple, I would milk the Macintosh for all it's worth -- and get busy on the next great thing. The PC wars are over. Done. Microsoft won a long time ago."
-- Fortune, Feb. 19, 1996
Well, I got greedy. I tried to prove I could make water flow up-stream. All I got was a wet beating. So, now I'm finally acknowledging that I was right back then, and shouldn't have gone against what I knew to be best. Hey, we all make stupid mistakes.
So, starting today, all Mac OS intellectual property has been transferred to Microsoft. Microsoft will integrate the best of our innovations into future versions of Windows. And, Apple has been insured that we will never have to pay more than $1 for each Windows license that we pre-install on our computers for sale.
We see this as a win for everyone.
We'll finally be able to offer powerful machines for the budget minded. We'll have a huge advantage over our competitors because our licensing fees are significantly less. And, we can focus all our attention on building hardware.
Oh, and don't you iPod owners worry. We aren't abandoning the iPod. For those who have watched the trend, you'll notice that we are banking our future on the iPod. We are counting on the iPod. Long live the iPod.
Well, folks, that's all.
Oh, one more thing, here's Bill Gates to tell you what I really meant to say."
And, Bill Gates steps-up and rambles on about something while the hearts of Mac Users everywhere sink into despair.
Your nick serves you well.
