I can never win...I NEEDED it though. My PC is majorly crashing. And I guess even if they updated still a major upgrade from what I have now...double ram, double hard drive (I upgraded it), DVD burner, the camera and the glossy screen.

There will be no announcement on the 20th because in the US Monday the 19th is a national holiday.Apple always delays stuff till Wednesday if there's a holiday on the previous monday.

The 20th is a Tuesday..

Nothing will be announced.

Maybe on Wednesday the 21st.But I doubt it.

I'm starting to wonder if something is afoul in Apple Land..
It's been almost 6 months since ANY Apple product was updated. The only exception has been the introduction of the iPhone to come out in June and the Airport Extreme station came out a couple weeks ago.The :apple: TV isn't shipping till March.Leopard's "secret features" are becoming RDFware.WHY keep them secret now?? What's there to hide from MS ?.Vista has been out now..

COME ON STEVE..

don't forget the ipod shuffle update which was pathetic on apples part

WOOHOO..Paint some shuffles and release them.HUGE update.

My thoughts exactly. Every move Apple's made since last fall has left me with the immediate response of "that's it??????"

It seems they've been ignoring the Macs almost since around April or May of 2006. Aside from the introduction of the Mac Pro, the only thing they've done is bump some of the models up to a Core2Duo (oh, and there is the 24-inch iMac).

But, since the introduction of the Mac Pro, it's really felt like they just haven't done anything to progress the systems. Meanwhile, the latest processors and technologies are making their way into the shipping PC's. But, Apple's stuff is still based on what was available in September and October of last year.

The Quad Cores came out within 2 months of the Mac Pro's introduction. A move Apple was surely aware was coming. And, yet, here we are with not a single system implementing them. I suppose that when Intel introduces 8-core CPU's, then Apple will finally start shipping systems with 4-core CPU's.

Not very cutting-edge. Especially for high prices. Common Apple, let's see some new machines or some major updates. Nothing since last fall. It's really starting to look like the end of the Mac.

Do you honestly believe Apple doesn't have new systems currently in development?

Which Holiday is that? Mardi Gras is on Tuesday and I remember Apple released the Intel Mac mini on Mardi Gras of last year.

No showtime this week?

So i take it we will see nothing of apple announcements this week?
When does showtime usually take place after macworld? is there a pattern,

Well march is just around the corner and "I WANT MY APPLETV"

Will it be shipped yet?

I just got my MBP yesterday. If there's an event tomorrow, and 10.5 and iLife '07 come out, is there a way I can get them free?

Mac OS 10.5 and iLife 07 aren't being released tomorrow.

At most, they might be announced and have full details revealed,(although they're not going to announce them on a wednesday) but they still wouldn't be available for sale most likely for another couple of months.

Either way, usually Apple will do something where you can get them free after the products have been released, but you buy a computer that has the old OS and software on them..... but that's the extent of it usually.

For the record, today the 19th is a Monday, thus announcements can be made due to it being a Tuesday tomorrow ;)
Have you read any of this thread?

IMO its very unlikely as we have seen no invites, unless it is a live stream of an announcement on apple's website!

since there have been no invitations sent out there will be no special event tomorrow. At the most there may be a silent upgrade of something, probably the Mac Minis, but I don't think that even that will happen.

well that would be better than nothing......i sure hope something happens.....:apple:

I dont know what you guys think but with the Imac, Mac Mini, Mac pros, all nearing the end of their cycles and with leapord nearly ready for release whether that be March, April or June do you not think that with the launch of Apples OX 10.5 Leopard will we not see a whole new Mac lineup at the same time. I think it is obvious Imacs and mac Minis and mac pros are all in development and even the Macbooks are ready for new screens and a speed bump.

In short I can just see a massive event firstly the launch of leapord/iLife07/iWork07 then one more thing new Mac Minis then one more thing new iMacs then one more thing new Mac Pros then one more thing new Macbooks and macbook pros all in one event. This would make worldwide news and make Microsoft Quiver in their boots.

I do know this much. The :apple: TV uses Front Row 2.0. and People will start receiving them around March 1st-5th..
Something is going to happen.Eventwise before that. It's only logical.

All I want is them to announce Leopard and say that if you buy a Mac from now on you get the free upgrade. I dont feel like buying now and then having to buy Leopard in the future to get some feature I want. Announce it Steve! :D

If thats true then I would think Leopard will be very close at being released for pre-order as Leopard will ship with FrontRow 2.0. So maybe Leopard will be shipping very soon!!!! :D Seems only logical to me.
