Time to sell my stocks.Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but this thing just screams “flop”.
$6 Billion already?!

Even if it is a success, along with their other “services,” is this the Apple we want?
I’m excited for more content... but this will not be a monthly service I pay for. I’ll probably wait for a lot of content, subscribe for a few months to catch up and then cancel
Please do. More for the rest of us.Time to sell my stocks.
Some of the shows look good with great casts. However like I've said before and others have expressed - I'm not really looking for yet another streaming service to add or more content. I already have dozens of series queued up that I don't have time to watch/finish!
That's why for me buying music, TV shows, films, and games outright still makes far more sense. I'll use them when I have time, then maybe revisit after a couple of years. The idea of paying multiple subscriptions over those years (and still having nothing to show for it at the end) is nonsense.
If you’re struggling to watch these shows what use is owning them on DVD?
I don't see how this number could be correct. Just seems way out there.
Over-budget I can understand, this I can't. I'd really like to see a breakdown on what they spent this on.
Or this number is just wrong.
Just stop. Foundation, alone, will likely be worth the price of the subscription.I haven't seen one compelling Apple produced show yet. Carpool karaoke sounded like a novelty that's about as interesting as animoji's. Fun for about a week. Then no one uses it anymore. The show about the space race that never ended? Sounds boring. A post-apocalyptic blind world? Uh not really interested. A show staring reese witherspoon and jennifer aniston? Don't care. Apple seems to have nothing edgy or compelling. Just more packaged, mainstream, vanilla content. No thanks.
Why would consumers care about profit-more markets? Why would consumers care about sustainability? The fact of all the metric points you pointed out profit and sustainability kind of shows why you don’t understand nor will you ever understand half of the complaints.
On the topic of Apple TV+, they can easily burn thru a large chunk of their cash and not have much to show from it. It’s why there is much skepticism about this service.
I'm not struggling, and I didn't mention DVD. My use is just intermittent, whereas a subscription is persistent.
I'm going to be amazed if there is even one show I'm interested in watching.
There’s too many streaming services, and Apple is late to the game. I’m not holding much hope here....
Yeah, $10/mo. is about $5/mo. too much IMO.They needed to buy one of the other streamers (or Fox). Don’t see how they have enough content to warrant a streaming service.
Easy choice between this and Disney plus.
People paid $9.99 for CBS All Access and that only had one show: Discovery. (Now, also Twilight Zone).$10/month is quite a lot for almost no content. 3-4 original shows and that’s it? Or am I missing something?
Well you expect subscribers before they open subscriptions? I mean it is not like Netflix got 15 billion subscribers without investing first....6 billion spent with 0 subscriber so far.
It has an Apple logo, it'll be fine, there's plenty of people that will buy / subscribe to anything they make (and will defent their "company" no matter what).Sorry Apple, you will flop hard here.
There’s too many MP3 players already, and Apple is late to the game. I’m not holding much hope here..."
I couldn’t even finish the trailer for the Morning Show.
