Wow, that was frustrating but finally was able to place order thru the Apple app on my iPhone. Ended up with 3 phones in cart, and blew off adding Apple care + since it just wouldn't take and add to cart.
Each step took several reload attempts but finally received confirmation on a 6+ 64 GB Space Gray for store pickup on the 19th.
Yeah, that's weird, I wanted to add AppleCare+, but could not find anywhere in the app to add it to the order. You'd think they'd pitch that right on the phone page, or at checkout, no? There was an AppleCare description page linked front he iPhone 6 order page, but no "Add to cart" button or whatever. I know I can add it later, but very strange they would make it so inconvenient.
For those of you ordering through the iOS app, expect a lot of Try Again Later error popups and spinning wheels where it looks like nothing is happening. Click through the errors and try again, when you get the spinning wheels, let them go, it usually is actually processing, it's just super slow.
