maybe they're playing with us, or even just isight and shuffle shipping? ;)

Yes you might be right. Maybe they wish to announce the 160 GB - 16:9 widescreen Ipod with integrated wireless :p :p ;)

Soon the whining on the lack of new features on whatever product may be announced/upgraded will begin! ;)

aus store has been down for 30 mins now

"Within the hour" has basically been proven to mean "When we're good and ready."

There's no real time limit on it.

Everyone should know it will be speed bumps, they will pull out Duo chips and stick in Dou2"s. No big deal, Because if it was a big deal with say new GPU's & Specs and maybe a new OS they would do it at a show while beating their chests.:) Speed bumps are speed bumps though its allways nice. I wonder if by any chance will be seeing more dreadful gma950s? What good is a speed bump for macbook if its still got that thing?

Hey, if they pump the processor, that's fine enough for me. I won't need to read about people complaining that they can't get the best processor that'll only be best for 3 weeks. And the integrated graphics aren't that bad...

Yes, just like they did with the new iMacs...oh wait...

But seriously, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if nothing new came today.

Compared to getting a graphics card in your MacBook and having to pay 100-200 dollars more. The laptop is great enough as it is with the integrated graphics. If you feel that it's not enough for you, then get the MacBook Pro. The integrated graphics can do just about everything that a typical uer needs to do.

If there's MacBook updates, is it worth sending my MacBook back?

Its not BTO, and is 10 days old. It has squeaky keys, a slightly wobbly screen, but more annoyingly - 'pencil' type marks on the trackpad and button, and surrounding the keyboard (they are slowly fading).

Yes or No, homies?

Mate, we get it. You don't like the integrated graphics. But hopping on here and whinging about it constantly isn't going to solve anything. Email Apple, email Steve, do something constructive because whinging about specs on a rumour site forum is about as useless as tits on a bull.

Why the hell haven't you taken that thing in yet? I would've already for the wobbly screen...

That should've gone back straight away. Why did you hang on to it?

Warbrain & Chundles, well I needed it to complete a part of my school work or I wouldn't get a grade for that section, plus when I got it, it was fine (except for the marks and the very annoying squeaky space bar) - I thought the marks were just from the factory, in the same way there was dust over the iSight camera etc.

Am I still within my rights to return?

Possibly not to return for an updated MacBook if they're released, but definitely within the bounds of requesting that Apple fix the components or totally replace the computer.

Even if not, you should get that fixed under warranty. That would annoy the hell out of me.

Warbrain & Dynamicv - The marks are slowly fading, and when I'm typing at home I have music on, so the squak is lessened, and in school its too noisy to hear, anyway.

Now its set up and 'homely' it just seems a pain to send it all back, wait for a new one etc - but if there's significant updates to the MacBook line, my point was - is it then worth a return, I do have grounds on the basis of it being marked etc, plus I'd benefit from updates.

I guess we'll see shortly..

Warranty repair - definitely.

So its out of its return period? [which I thought was 14 days, or is Apple only 7?]

I'm happy with it, its just if theres a new MacBook with better features, and mine [to some extent] is faulty/damaged then why not return it. :)

I don't think there is a return period on BTO. I had a BTO 20" iMac G5 just before they went to the slimmer profile w/ iSight. I called them and told them I wanted the new one, I had it for a week. I was told that I wasn't eligible because it was BTO, but I received a sizable amount of money back.

P.S.
I think my computer is finally going to be outdated. Still runs like a champ though.
