Please update the MacBooks too!

I hope they update the MacBooks too. My girlfriend has been weighing getting a MacBook for the past few weeks now. If there's an update and/or price drop, maybe that will be all the convincing she needs. If they update the MB to Core 2 Duo, I hope they still keep a Core Duo model and bump down the price to $999. I think $1000 is an important psychological threshold for consumers.

If there's MacBook updates, is it worth sending my MacBook back?

Its not BTO, and is 10 days old. It has squeaky keys, a slightly wobbly screen, but more annoyingly - 'pencil' type marks on the trackpad and button, and surrounding the keyboard (they are slowly fading).

Yes or No, homies?
I would send it back.

Lucky I have the 'relaod every' extension installed in Firefox, I will know as soon as it's back up :)

i can't wait to get my hands on this:D

I would most certainly do the same as well JDT. :)

Thankins :) But, depending on what happens today, we'll see what becomes of my MacBook. I forgot to mention the DVD drive.. its very clunky and noisy. Is it meant to be like that? I mean REALLY loud, it sounds broken, not ''smooth'' like on my old iMac?

Thanks, LilStewart. :)

Well, have fun everyone. I must be going now since I need to clean out my betta fish's tank. Too bad I won't be here when the store comes back up. Not like I need a new computer anyway. My iBook does more than enough.

compared to..........?

Compared to THE NEEDS OF THE CONSUMER. I can't think of a SINGLE one of my friends or family members that would know or care what GPU is in their computer. Everyone I know uses their computer mainly for web browsing, iTunes, and Microsoft Office (and email but all my friends/family use web-based mail anyway). That's the consumer that Apple (and Intel generally) are targeting, and it represents the vast majority of consumers.
