Apple Store Experiencing Issues With iPhone 14 Pre-Orders

Ordered 5 minutes early on the AT&T site. Very easy. Expected to ship Thursday Sept 15th.

I had all my devices lined up on my desk ready to order, what loaded for me before anything else: Official APP for the Apple Store, on my iPad. Got a couple orders placed for me and the wife.

My browsers/phone/etc all took a lot longer, had to refresh the links, etc. BestBuy and T-Mobile were even worse.

Welcome to the world of pre-ordering any product ever (ahem, PS5/XSX/GPU's anyone??), I feel Apple has the least hiccups!

No issues for me in ordering the iPhone or AirPods Pro, but it took me two tries to order the iPhone 14 Pro case.

Yep, 20 minutes of errors, shipping dates slipped to October, changed my mind and not buying the 14 Pro afterall 😐

I got my order in (Pro Max, 256, deep purple) for delivery on 9/16, but only after I tried and failed to do in-store pick-up. I got a weird "update contact info" message and then when I went through processing, I was back to standard delivery at home.

I tried completing my preorder on 3 different devices: mac, ipad pro, iphone.

Worked well on my iPhone, order is in for a Sep 16 pickup at my local apple store.

On Mac, I could start the process but it froze after a few steps.

On ipad, the app was stuck on the "just a few more minutes" screen until about 15 minutes after pre-order time.

The lesson is: if you're having trouble placing your order, try a different device.

Thats one of the hidden perks of the ecosystem!

TBF I had a similar experience with my MBP, iPad Pro and iPhone.

Able to checkout though on iPad app before the other two even connected 😅

Mine crashed when I clicked 'pay'. Repeat the order again, secured the order... only to realise my first order went through after all, and now I got myself not 1, but 2 iPhone Pro Max. 🤣

Took about 15 mins to get onto the website, tried ordering 3 times but it crashed every time.

Oh well looks like I'm keeping my money...

Just trying to get AirPods Pro and Apple Card Monthly Installments will not work via the app or the website. I don't know if it's an Apple problem or a Goldman-Sachs problem but it is super annoying either way.

Yup. Pre-pre-ordered but both the app and website took almost 10 minutes to allow me into the store. Tried the usual refreshing/incognitio/force-closing to no success.

No point in pre-ordering just to get it 3 weeks late. I'll wait for the reviews and eSIM quirks to be worked out if I can't get it day one.

Finally just came up, no option to pick up at a store, so now have to wait until Oct 3-10. 🤦‍♂️

NO carrier trade in option during checkout with Apple. By the time I fiddled around it was in October already.

Went through AT&T directly, ships by 9/15. And it gave me the necessary trade in info.

Store took a good 10 minutes before it finally opened up for me so I missed the initial delivery window.

One purple pro max 1TB and one space black pro max 1TB successfully ordered. Did they only let you order two at a time last year? I ordered 3 last year, but the orders were separate. I tried to place another order for pickup and it was denied.

that is why i use ATT. my orders were done by 7:55. they let us in early. never use apple.
