I really think (hope) there will be more than the smaler Iphone and the smaler Ipad pro.

I mean a key note where they show new hardware which is good, no question, but outdated -> I mean the hardware the Iphone and Ipad will get is already from last year. Good products, no question...but....

I cannot imagine a keynote where everything we will see is outdated hardware and watchbands...(plus new software of course).......

What you call outdated others won't.

They got to be coming out with a new updated watch, I've seen many discounts on the current model recently, so I assume they are clearing out old stock to make space for the new one. No way are they just going to introduce just watch bands.

PC World are selling the non-Retina MacBook Pro for £200 less at the moment so I imagine it's "goodbye" to the last MacBook Pro w/user upgradable RAM and SuperDrive built in.

In terms of the Mac Mini it would be good to see a refresh there; I've got the mid-spec late 2014 model and whilst it's fine for the most part I do wish there had been a quad core option when it was last announced.

Please do not (further) lower the tone of MR by mentioning inept DSG group companies (all of them), as you're giving them free advertising which they truly do not deserve, nor do the public need to be encouraged to buy there.

A lot of people looking for Macs updates.... I'm under the impression this event will be only related to iDevices.

So many haters of the new 4" iPhone, could it be jealousy???
I don't think it's hate, it's just a boring re-branding of the 5s. Glad everyone who wants a 4" iPhone will have a refreshed option, but IMO it's the wrong solution to the issue of the iPhone being too large a device for it's screensize.

I am amazed that there are people here, and more than just a couple, who honestly believe today's announcement will only be about watch bands. It's like common sense and critical thinking are thrown out the window.

MacRumors used to be a (relatively) intelligent place to be, but now there's no dress code, you get a direct parallel with anyone walking off the street into a debate on particle physics, feeling they can offer more to the discussion. Lol.

WItht he hype and the "we cant wait to show you what we have in store" means a small iphone 6, a small ipad pro and 2 watch bands - I think apple must have gotten a bit too drunk on their own coolaid.

I wonder why many of you bemoaners joined an Apple-centric site, but then remember the old truism: "misery loves company".

Dig out your crappy Nokia N95 and your HP iPaq, and then see how you do getting online to do some work: "Can't innovate my ass!"

You must be new around these parts. Some of us have been here 10+ years and have seen how things have become. To which I answer, stale. Apple is all about the iPhone now and has been for awhile. Everything else is, just there.

But go ahead and be excited about "some amazing products" that they "worked so hard" on and are "so excited to get them in your hands". If you can't tell, that's what Cook says every single presentation.

This seems unusually very early…
The store (and Apple Store app) will be down for a good half of the day here in the UK.

I'm pretty sure it usually goes offline around an hour prior to the event commencing.

Maybe of note: I discovered last night that John Lewis are totally out of stock of all MacBooks - in all colour ways.
Unfortunately not Mac minis, though (but "the new Mac mini is almost certainly coming"!).
An English person said 'colour ways'. Burn him - we must stop it before it can spread.

wow, they are taking it down early before the event. Loosing a couple of hours of sales right there.
Do you really think there's any significant amount of truly "lost" sales? People ready to drop a bunch of money on Apple products or accessories are really just going to change direction and go buy a Surface instead this morning?

Shall I call Tim, Phil and Craig, and inform them you want to take over? Join the queue, many people think they'd be "better" at Apple than Apple, which is why many people are patted on the head and walked past.

I'm confident they'll throw in some Mac updates, probably only minor refreshes given the lack of rumors but it's something. How much longer can they continue to sell a Mac Pro with 2013 hardware?

I really hope (and frankly think) it's not only about Watch bands... But the event name doesn't fit with Macs, iPhone SE or iPad Pro. So I'm a bit concerned, because they consider a Watch band more important than an iPad or a new iPhone ??? !!!

Re-branding of the iPhone 5S ???
DO you already know what the iPhone SE is ?

Maybe they're releasing a better predictive text correction engine?

;)
