Never have I cared so little about an Apple event. It's either I'm getting old or Apple's getting boring.

I don't know if today's event is indicative of anything. It's a re-run that we've all seen before. We'll see how the rest of the year turns out. Apple has a lot of work to do w/ AW, getting HomeKit to be a legit force in the home automation world including making ATV what it should be -- a central hub, not just an uncable box, pushing out new Macs with current technology, Make ATV what iand then there is all the s/w that needs refreshing. If we get more "different day, same old s..." this year then we can truly say Apple has become another tech company in silicon valley with a really cool building.

Jealousy? I don't know if it's because I'm from a different culture but how can anyone be jealous of a phone? Even more a phone itself as a concept, not just having a phone, which is also weird. It seems absurd to me, seriously. Would you like to have a built in wifi ac chip or what?

I've never been a jealous person when it comes to things or ownership of things, it's such a ridiculously primitive and short-sighted waste of time and energy. I'm jealous of those able to live in humility and God's peace, but thankful to know I'm also capable of reaching that if I ask his help everyday. :)

I say, to each, what suits you suits you, and may not suit your brother. Be thankful for whatever YOU have been blessed with, not envious of what other have, and be careful what you wish for; people spend a lot of time pursuing things which they tire of quickly.

I still wonder in this day and age why Apple needs to take their store down and can't just keep the new updates queued in staging.

One day they'll upgrade their e-commerce systems so that they don't need to take the store offline for several hours when making changes, and we won't have this excitement leading up to a keynote...

I can't believe that a technology company as large as they are still has to take their entire store completely offline just to add new products... Especially missing out on sales during a time when a number of people are likely to be hitting thier site and would potentially make purchases.

"Better"

Gosh.

My 2mm flawless diamond is better than a 50ft sheet of glass (not to mention that it could cut it into pieces, hehe). Yes, a stupid analogy, but to match an equally daft comment.

There are many replies to your daft comment I could make, I suggest you take my comment as an opinion and that only. I'm not here to start a bashing war

I think its more of a hype thing is it not?

there are more exciting events and less exiciting ones :) depends on if you are interested in products that are going to be annoucted. If you aren't interested in buying iPhone SE, iPad and new bands it's logical for me that this event doesn't interest you :)

all i can say is that i still miss Steve Jobs keynotes. He focused on the details that shaped the product instead of showing a billion boring game and app demos. for the last few keynotes they have been rushing through the parts that made Apple so great and detail orientated

I was just thinking, the last time I purchased a major apple product was way back on the iPhone 6 Plus launch.

Guess I just don't have the desire to update everything every year. I still want to buy something though lol

MacRumors used to be a (relatively) intelligent place to be, but now there's no dress code, you get a direct parallel with anyone walking off the street into a debate on particle physics, feeling they can offer more to the discussion. Lol.

Yeah, sure you have, except 3/4's of your posts have been derogatory and negative, tearing down others and pointing out flaws.

At this point the iPad is pretty much feature full. Now it's only good as the apps that are on it, and frankly my go to Apps went from fantastic to pretty crappy and unusable in the last 2 yrs. Namely Comixology, Google Books and Cloud Reader - my main apps are pretty much broken beyond repair now. Just wretched design changes that no one asked for. I don't know why people can't leave their apps alone.

Just smart wordplay (from their address) - or their "Madmen's" attempt at it!

Such pessimism, clearly they are introducing new devices incorporating quantum computing chips using superconducting niobium loops. The revolution starts here folks, be sure to tune in.

Never have I cared so little about a random stranger online stating their level of interest in a yet unseen Apple event. Apple aren't boring, so you have your answer.
I guess we know of at least one person who will be buying something, (anything) from the Apple Store today. Glad your so excited and sorry you didn't sleep well last night in anticipation of all the exciting things Tim is going let you buy today.

i have always been excited to see the Apple events, don't know what is the reason but i am not excited this time around.
