Ha. They don't care about fair chances -- they'll keep taking orders until the presale allotment is done.

I'm worried that I messed up. I placed an order through ATT and I got to the final receipt page but the thing was that I couldn't change the email address listed on the credit card from my old one to my new one. So it goes through and I look at my old email to find out that the email address has been cancelled, so I can't see if I got any kind of confirmation. Would I receive the confirmation on my main email linked to my ATT account o the one I put under the credit card? I haven't gotten an order confirmation on either email accounts and out of worry I went and placed a second order for an iPhone on the same line, for $199. I'm not sure how it let me, considering I thought I just used my upgrade, but it did. Am I going to have like both orders cancelled now? I'm worried. I probably should have just done the first one and let it be.
 
Apple is no longer taking iphone orders great! I am going to be very upset if I don't have one on the 14th I could have had a 4 months ago.
 
Att.com best option now...got a 32gb in white.
log in to OLAM like checking minutes or whatever, scroll down to the iphone 4s box, click check upgrade options, select your number, let it do its thing, check mark apple phones, iphone 4s is there, add data plan and messaging, and check out.
 
anyone have an AT&T phone # that is at least getting them put on hold?

Don't they have a certain amount for each carrier? So if most ATT customers can't order there should be a chance still to get one right?

I am on the phone with a sales rep and she is saying internally apple is trying to create an app for the sales reps to use so that they can put you on the list to reserve one and once everything cools down you will be able to get one
 
I'd be slightly less pissed about this if I didn't stay up 8 ***** hours later than I wanted to. Now I'm going to end up crashing, missing an appointment, and probably being stuck waiting a couple weeks longer for the phone.

WOW what a f'n mess. I spent an hour trying to get through Apple's site, only to have it hang either at checkout or at the eligibility check. Went to AT&T's site and ordered in about 2 minutes. Worst ordering experience ever.
 
Eff this. If they sell out and don't have launch day units available in store, I'm going to be ticked.
 
anyone that got their order thru to att how long did it take to get a confirmation email? I ordered about 15 minutes ago and still nothing.....I took a screen shot of the confirmation page lol.....still waiting on the email.
 
I'm not sure why the hell I expected this launch to be any different. Hope springs eternal, I guess. This is goddamn ridiculous. I'd probably be a lot less angry if it weren't 4:47 in the goddamn morning, of course, and if I hadn't already been at this for 2 hours. GR%$RRR.
 
there is no way this ran off this bad. AT&T had had the iPhone for 4 years and they still can't get pre order day right.

APPLE's problem is most likely AT&T having this FAN problem. I bet that is why i am getting screwed along with all the other FAN people.

Sprint seems to be working again. I was able to go through the entire order process as a new customer (no existing service with Sprint).
