Apple employees just walked line.
They have limited supply. White only.
Opening at 9. Two ipad limit. Everyone I've talked to for the most part is here to flip them. I just want one fo sxsw!
Went to the Apple Store in Clarendon this morning around 7:30 for the 9am early iPad sale. Was about 30th in line and by 8:15 there were easily 100. Around that time the business manager came out, told us that she appreciated our time and the fact we were waiting in the cold, but that they had NO iPads. None. And they weren't expecting any today, either.
Maybe tomorrow?

Afaik, apple store employees don't know what they're getting. They say no iPads because they don't want people who aren't buying anything at the time to take up two hours of real estate. Ignoring them and waiting til shipment comes in (around 11 here) is all you can really do.
I'm the only one in line at the freehold Nj apple store. No idea if they're opening early, no idea if they have any. But I had errands to run out here anyway so no biggie. Will wait it out.

Greenwich CT Apple Store, no stock. I walked to the front door and the employee inside shook his head no.
I'm here at the 5th Av store and there is NO line. Of course the employees say they have no iPads and don't know when they'll get more.
Funny thing though, there are so many chinese folks hanging around... I've been here a bunch of times, never seen so many in the store.

About 100 people in line at the Apple store West 14th NYC. They're out here warning people they don't know if there will be enough to go around. There are only white in 16, 32, and 64 and the only 3G model is the VZ 64.
I'm seeing some people drop out of line. I'm sticking around a bit longer just in case they revise the stock estimate and some black AT&T models pop up. Not very hopeful.

Wow what a waste of time. Love Apple's sneaky marketing. They got their long line before and they want more? I guess I'll just wait until stock fills up and go at a normal time

I was at the Apple Store in Towson, MD and they were open, but they said they had no ipads, and wouldn't be getting any today. She did tell me they probably would get some tommorow and to try back then.
I was the only customer there.
