Sadly, the more options that show up out there, the more I want Apple to just release an updated Studio Display (27" or 32").
I've lost track of the number of monitors I've tried since the ASD was launched and I keep coming back to the ASD. I would definitely be more tempted by a 3rd party monitor if macOS font scaling was better. As it is, a lot of the larger, higher resolution screens out there are useless to me because if you run them at their max resolutions, they're unusable with macOS.
- I'd like a better webcam - I'm assuming this will come in the refresh
- I'd like a larger screen rather than having to have two of them - this won't happen
- Screen brightness, quality and available resolutions are brilliant for productivity
- Speakers are ok, better than other monitors and more than good enough if you don't want standalone speakers
- Connectivity if you have a Mac is good - all the thunderbolt you need. It's crap for anything else though! Apple won't change this
Wait till you hook them up to your M-based MacBook Pro that comes with the glorious XDR ProMotion retina display :/
Along with the excellent clarity, resolution, color, build quality of the ASD, I've yet to find a display that has all that AND the brightness.
Once you have an ASD, most other displays make you feel like you're wearing sunglasses.
Face ID for passkeys
proper external monitor support for windows/ps5/switch/etc.
Has anyone ever separated the glass from the lcd? or glued shut.
lol. Same here. All three of mine must be broken. No buzz or fan noise.
