Buying Netflix makes utterly no sense. To Apple or to anyone.
That's like saying buying Beats made no sense..... does this crap movie make sense?
Days of common sense at apple are fading fast....or even a company vision / direction .

Apple has now become the company that just does stuff... like Microsoft under Ballmer.
There is no reason for it, it makes no sense, but we have too much money laying around so let's give it all to marketing and let them do stuff for no reason and without any aim.

I thought Battlefield Earth was a religious story about a certain religious faith?
Yup Scientology crapit was markerting for said religion.
This movie is going to be a massive markerting push for apple, I'd say the biggest product placement of all time....if only that was an oscar category .

If what Apple does doesn't make sense, is this because it doesn't make sense, or because we can't make sense of it?
To add to this:Can we finally admit that Apple is no longer a tech company and is now a marketing/media company?
And that, what, 16 volume set? Gave me freaking nightmares. The first book isn't so bad, but it just goes farther off the rails as the books progress. I threw out the next three in the set I had bought, and tore up the one that I was reading.
I knew right then that L Ron was a whole lot of bricks short of an outhouse. YIKES!!! If he had all the bricks, he could have built that outhouse and dropped the manuscripts in it, and put them to good use: jump starting the 'ecosystem' in the holding tank...
But I digress...
Dear Apple,
Please fire Eddy Cue.
That is all.
this is a long-form ad. NOT A MOVIE.
Really doesn't matter. The point is Apple is driven by marketing now, not by products.
Did you even read the article ? It's obvious this is a long-form ad. NOT A MOVIE. I'm mindblown by the circlejerking.
Relevance. Apple wants to stay relevant and all these media shows so far have been to paint it and its products in a relevant and favourable light.
More marketing, essentially.
Marketing and products are not mutually exclusive.
It's still tasteless and a waste of resources.
