I think almost 80% of the comments here didn't read the entire article and notice that this is a video to be posted on YouTube. It is not a full-budget action film... Just think of the intro to WWDC video for a good idea of what this might be like.

It's okay. The bulk of the comments in this section have been dead wrong about most other things as well. Seems there is this tendency to grossly overvalue what the competition does and dramatically play down the significance of anything Apple does.

Did people not read the article? It's obviously not supposed to be a serious feature film. The video is being posted on YouTube; it's clearly intended to be a commercial that happens to star Dwayne Johnson.o_O

Exactly. Too many article skimmers here.

Apple should do a movie of people trying to use Siri IRL. Ditto for iMessage dictation. That would be funny as hell. They are so far behind Google, I don't know if they can even buy their way out of it.

The MR troll army was too busy foaming at the mouth to get another chance to say how terrible Apple is without Steve Jobs, instead of actually reading the article.

It’s an advertisement people. Chill the F out. Apple calls their ads “films” in case you haven’t noticed the past 3 years of Apple marketing.

Considering the actor's brand, the only reason for bringing The Rock in is if Apple wants to demonstrate how indestructible the iPhone is. Unfortunately, the iPhone is destructible.

OMG! WTF is going on? What is Timmy thinking? As much as I like Timmy and Apple, I cannot cosign this. Apple is losing focus.

apple should just buy netflix to avoid even further embarrassment.

Please stop this nonesense of "Apple should just buy Netflix". I used to like Apple a heckuva lot more before they got their egos into Hollywood. Netflix rules and Apple would destroy their ethos. Apple needs to keep out of Hollywood.

All I can hear after reading most of these comments is a certain voice saying/singing "You're welcome." :D

So many people put Apple on top of the Electronics World.. And then talk like they will stay there forever.... Apple will be brought down, not overnight, not next week but look at every top company and Historically they all fall down... Apples turn will come, you can bet on it.. It is the cycle of Economics. That being said, this still might be a cool You Tube vid.

I read the article and thought "wow, that is going to be a pretty cheesy movie/advert". Then I started reading through the comments. I think the comments are far more entertaining. Especially the contrast between those that ridicule Apple and those that praise Apple. :D

Apple and The People's Champion partnering up. I can dig it. And some of yall really need to chill out. It's a damn short film that's not meant to be taken seriously. They're not exactly shooting for an Oscar here. Don't worry, you'll still get your Samsung made 1000 dollar Galaxy iPhone in a few months
