This all seems so boring. Faster chips, different colors...blah, blah, blah...

Waiting on a new Apple TV, hopefully they can include features I didn't even know I wanted/needed (old style Apple)

The iPhone Fold will be exciting to see, not sure if I'm interested, I really like the sleek form factor of my iPhone Air, although I absolutely hate the camera!!!

I don’t know why people are so desperate for a new Apple TV. The current one is pretty fast, no slowdowns at all in mine, if a new one comes, probably will be “chip and ship”, no major differences has been leaked.
Totally agree. I have all the recent 4k Apple TV models and they all work perfectly fine.

As for the rest of this, I’m curious about the new MacBook but not too excited about the rest.

I think that's the back of the new MacBook, and it looks like an etched logo rather than a separate glossy one you have on the current MacBooks.

Shame it's more dull grey though!

Apple is going after the used MacBook market more than the cheap pc market. Way too many people buy used. But if a $600 laptop is faster than an $800+ one it’s a good trade off for what you will lose out on.

Going to throw out a prediction here...

The A series MacBook will be app-store restricted (like other A series devices) despite running what they'll call MacOS. Apple will justify the lower cost with incremental App store revenue. This also follows the logic if they're going after the educational market to compete with Chromebooks (a little late to the game IMO). In addition to other hardware cuts of course. But I don't think it'll be a 100% MacBook Air replacement.

The only things I would be interested in would be a new MacBook Pro (if they add a touch screen and 5G connectivity) and the HomePod

I disagree! My New GEN 4K appletv slows down sometimes unresponsive when using Plex or Infuse sometimes even complete freeze i have to reboot!

🔊 That video… New sonic logo for Apple computers, including the Mac?

Probably not… it's maybe a bit lengthy, but on the other hand it seems a bit specific to just be created for this short one-use promo.

You never know – Apple did just redo the tv intro and maybe want to give each area of the company a freshen up.

Happy to hear that Apple will announce a plethora of new tech next week. Looking forward to seeing what’s been keeping ‘em! Neither cautiously optimistic nor negatively annoyed as yet… but I am in the market, so fingers crossed.

I am with others here - new products.. that feels like a play on words. So not excited.

“5 products updated” would be accurate. Don’t get me wrong, updating products is good and some will be excited about it but it feels like Apple are trying to create hype.

Now if they were announcing AR glasses or iPhone that folds/flips etc then i could get excited - regardless of whether the tech applies to me or not (I like to see where tech can go).

I don't know, with tv hardware there's always the potential for Apple to take it from 'good solid product' to 'great'.

My 2021 tv 4K is definitely showing signs of less than smooth performance in some places (although that's all relative – it's still so much more pleasant to use than any other TV, box or multipurpose device I've used).

Question: Would an A-Chipset Macbook be a good second computer? I usually work on a desktop, and I have a Windows 11 PC. I previously bought an M4 Macbook Air and returned it on the second day. Having to rely on someone else's app just to see my clipboard history stressed me out. I don't know, maybe it's not necessary, but MacBooks are still sexy devices, OS aside.

Baffled by all the requests for a new Apple TV. The new chip would only be useful for improvements in gaming, which is clearly a very ancillary function of this device. The current model can stream 4K video without issue, has a snappy interface, etc. Why are people begging for a new one?
