Apple Teases 'A Big Week Ahead' With Announcements Starting Monday

The A series MacBook will be app-store restricted (like other A series devices) despite running what they'll call MacOS. Apple will justify the lower cost with incremental App store revenue. This also follows the logic if they're going after the educational market to compete with Chromebooks (a little late to the game IMO). In addition to other hardware cuts of course. But I don't think it'll be a 100% MacBook Air replacement.

Nah, that’s not going to happen.
 
If it's not an Cinema Display, a 27" or 32" iMac or an Apple TV, the 'EXPERIENCE" gets a big yawn from me!

Glad to hear differing opinions but one thing I think Apple has always done is clear delineation/segmentation of product lines and upgrades in a product. Its really hard to imagine they're going to put out a MacBook that could 1:1 replace the current Air, with just a slightly smaller screen and one less port. Perhaps its a single SKU so if you want more storage or RAM you have to go up to an Air?

My 2019 iMac Ventura is on its last chin. Any idea when a new iMac could come out? I suppose I'd be fine with what's already available.

I'm planning to finally upgrade my 4th gen iPad Air, so I'm really looking forward to the announcement of an M4 model and/or a new base model.

I really don't need an M-series chip in my iPad, but I do want a laminated display and Pencil Pro support, so a base model iPad would be fine for me if it gets those 2 features. I don't actually care if it's OLED or LCD, or if it has ProMotion.
 
where is the new apple tv 4k pro? where is the homekit update? half of my lights get unresponsive. old school lights are much better

Wait until the fall announcements for the MBP OLED touchscreen event. The tease video will hint at the experience of wiping the screen with the Polishing Cloth Pro, available in 6 colors. The clip will be similar to the current tease, except that the background is a laptop screen and the logo —made up of fingerprints— will be wiped off. Finally, while the “We think your’e gonna love it” caption is flashing at the bottom, you’ll see the Cloth Pro wipe away the notch at the top.
