Everyone getting all excited only to be let down and disappointed when everything is the same with a slightly faster chip and a higher price.
Apple had record revenues last quarter/year, share price remains near all-time highs. Forward guidance is still in the 10-15% growth yoy. What exactly do you want them to turn around?

I have no idea why anyone is excited right now.
They relentlessly over hype EVERYTHING now.
The list is long, but for starters, they could get back to making software that isn't total trash.
one could say the same thing about the last 3 releases of MacBooks, a M1 Chip works perfectly fine for 99% of the users.

Agreed. I continue to be confounded as to why the M1 MBA wasn't "just fine and flying off shelves" for the users people keep saying this "new" low end MacBook will be perfect for.
Color me skeptical.
Ah, but think about all the emoji's they will release and how much better our lives will be because we now have a pet pickle emoji

I don’t know a single person that is let down from going from M3 to M4 or M4 to M5. Every year, every product has killer features enhancements

My guess is that on Tuesday they will delay the products scheduled for release on Tuesday and Wednesday. That is, after all, the new Apple.
Great animation. Its refreshing to see a shift away from the typical AI-generated look and digital artsy fartsy towards genuine creativity. A nice touch that really highlights the new products. Definitely a step in the right direction
Need an Apple TV. Mine crapped out 2 months ago and haven’t bought a replacement as I’m hoping a new one comes soon.
Apple’s continued posting on Twitter is another indicator of the company’s current sad state.

Not necessarily. Since the holidays, Apple TV and HomePod mini sales have dropped off quite a bit. A lot of people are either waiting for the next version or can’t find the current one through third party resellers because inventory is so limited. From a business standpoint, it would make sense to just release the updated model and position it as being fully capable of supporting the new Siri features when they roll out.
Imagine the redesigned M6 pro max OLED touch screen come out next week.
