one could say the same thing about the last 3 releases of MacBooks, a M1 Chip works perfectly fine for 99% of the users.

Agreed. I continue to be confounded as to why the M1 MBA wasn't "just fine and flying off shelves" for the users people keep saying this "new" low end MacBook will be perfect for.

Color me skeptical.

My guess is that on Tuesday they will delay the products scheduled for release on Tuesday and Wednesday. That is, after all, the new Apple.

Great animation. Its refreshing to see a shift away from the typical AI-generated look and digital artsy fartsy towards genuine creativity. A nice touch that really highlights the new products. Definitely a step in the right direction

I have no idea why anyone is excited right now.
They relentlessly over hype EVERYTHING now.

Meanwhile, this thread just dropped 👇

Yeah, I suppose the messaging of there isn’t an Event does signal incremental updates and nothing too exciting. I doubt we will see the new low-cost MacBook. Not sure if I will go out of my way to catch the release announcements.

I still think they need new siri for this so it's a compelling upgrade.
Not necessarily. Since the holidays, Apple TV and HomePod mini sales have dropped off quite a bit. A lot of people are either waiting for the next version or can’t find the current one through third party resellers because inventory is so limited. From a business standpoint, it would make sense to just release the updated model and position it as being fully capable of supporting the new Siri features when they roll out.
