I don’t know why people are so desperate for a new Apple TV. The current one is pretty fast, small form factor, no slowdowns at all in mine, if a new one comes, probably will be “chip and ship”, no major differences has been leaked.

becuase its currently four years old. Which may be ok now, but people keep them for a long time. Whats the support life for a four year old apple device.

Next Gen Apple Vision / Apple Glass

Yeah what I thought when I saw it. Logo is layers of glass. Multiple glass, glasses (yes I know it’s not the proper plural), seeing multiple layers through glasses, AR glasses.
Plus all the rest.

Baffled by all the requests for a new Apple TV. The new chip would only be useful for improvements in gaming, which is clearly a very ancillary function of this device. The current model can stream 4K video without issue, has a snappy interface, etc. Why are people begging for a new one?

Simply 1 thing: 120hz

Apple 4k at 60hz is so dated. Been waiting for a new AppleTV so I can set up my Philips 8k sync box and all my lights. Based on the numerous comments for ATV…Tim Cook will fumble if it’s not released next week. ATV revenue is a gold mine.

Also, I get the whole let’s wait for the new Siri for 26.4, but Apple has released products early without certain features that are unlocked later on…hoping this will be the case.

Comments on the news articles just lately have turned into a cesspool. It may be a boring spec update for you, BUT there are people out there who are looking to update their devices.
Personally I’m waiting for the long rumoured Homehub, but if it doesn’t arrive during the week I’m not going to start calling it boring updates 🙄, not everything in life is about you!

They will show off cheaper MacBooks to contend with chromebooks in various industries, and those low powered Chrome rivals will be touchscreen. Think along the lines of the Pixelbook Go.
